I waited a while before writing this review, as I wanted to make sure that it was long lasting and durable. I love the ease of set up, operation, and the constant display of the current temperature. We will see how durable it is this winter. It is such a great price, I will get another one to take some of the strain of this one this winter.Update:This is my third of these. The first was a test. It worked great. So I ordered another since a different brand heater burned out. Then I purchased this one for another tank. All are running now. I expect they will give me years of good service. I like the current temp, set temp, and wattage display. Very good design.

Be careful with the 1000 watt heaters. If you use more than one it will pop breakers, sometimes thermostat is off a dregree or two

This heater literally backed 25-30 of my Cichlids!!!!!! Before leaving for work it's a routine for me to check the tank and feed my fish. when I return home from work approximately 6 hrs later, I walk passed the tank and noticed within 5 minutes of returning home something was wrong. Some of the fish were clearly struggling and the rest were near the bottom. I could feel the heat coming from the water of the tank. I check the heater. the digital readout out indicated 80 degrees. I checked the thermostats and they read 99 degrees. the water was fine in the morning 6 hrs earlier but when I got home. It's clear what the root cause was the heater. Why is another question I have.......I would not recommend this product unless you like to gamble. I truly enjoyed the fish I had their were really beautiful. fish.

Heats my 125 fine looks ok in the tank. I do wish they made it all black. I hide it behind a large rock so I don't see the orange. Lost 1 star for the suction cups as they will not stay stuck to tank wall

This is a great heater. Use it in a pond outside keeps it at right temperature for fish to thrive in it. Easy to set up.

Being used in my 125 gallon saltwater tank and I love it ! The digital reading and settings is why I bought this !

Have slowly converted all of my aquariums to using this style heater. The exterior thermostat is very easy to use and makes controlling this heater a breeze. Heater is very robust and stays in place very well. Been running one of them for 2 years now with 0 problems.
