Amazon Basics 127 cm (50 Inch) Lightweight Tripod with Bag, Champagne

I wanted this to mount a laser level. I was amazed, I don't know how Amazon produce something as well designed and constructed as this for so little money. I guess heavy professional use on a daily basis might be a challenge for it, but for most of us that won't be an issue.Light weight, easy to use, excellent design and finish and has, especially considering the price, a real quality feel to it.

Great addition to the wildlife camera I've just brought and started to use to see what is in my garden, saves loads of time faffing about trying to rig it up on fences, washing poles and the like. Nice and sturdy and very easy to use.

ive been using this tripod for about a year and a half now, im giving it 4 stars as it doesn't feel the most durable and the extender part has unfortunately misaligned with the crank handle meaning it sticks out to the side when fully collapsed making it harder to store in the carry bag, the height of the tripod is very good and has come in handy, there's been times where i have to use it on uneven ground and its nice and easy to extend each leg to keep my camera level, its nice and easy to setup just by loosening the clips and stretching out the legs, for the price i cant complain much its served me well and hopefully i don't have any more issues with it

I got this tripod as part of a offer bundle with an entry level SLR in 2012 and it has turned out to be one of my most reliable bits of kit. My main photographic interest is long exposure night photography (typically 1 min to 10 mins) so a steady base is essential. I am pleased to report that this basic tripod has proved more than up to the task.When I was kitting myself out I thought I would have to purchase something much more substantial (and expensive) but the tripod came with the camera anyway so I didn't have anything to loose. After I had tried it however I was so impressed that I decided to prioritise my spend on a good wide angle lens and leave the tripod until I could afford it. Two and a half years (and several other lenses) later I'm still using this tripod and it still gives me everything I need.So, what makes this tripod good?1. Provides a rock steady platform for my DSLR fitted with a hefty wide angle lens.2. Locking mechanisms on the leg extensions are robust and easy to adjust3. Camera mounting plate mechanism is easy to operate and locks securely (I leave the plate permanently fastened to my camera)4. Rubber feet are on self adjusting ball type joints and take up the angle of the ground.5. The struts between the legs and the centre column add stiffness to the structure and can even be locked in position if conditions are really rough.6. The hook on the bottom of the centre column can be used to hang a plastic bag with a couple of weighty stones in to provide even more stability if the wind is too strong.7. There is a bubble/ circle level positioned in the top moulding of the tripod which can be used to accurately set the tripod level.8. The Camera mounting plate assembly can be swung vertical to enable a switch from landscape compositions to portrait to be made quickly and easily.9. The tripod comes with a simple zip up carry case which makes packing it in a rucksack easy as all the protruding parts which would snag are kept inside the case.10. The tripod is light and I have used it quite happily on multi day wild camping trips up in the mountains of the Lake District & Scotland.One tip I would give to those wishing to set the tripod up on thick springy grass (which I do frequently) is to use your boot to kick away the grass where the legs meet the ground so that each foot is sat on a solid base. This helps really helps with the stability of this (or any other tripod) for that matter.Summing up, for the money this is a fantastic buy. I have given mine some real stick over a period of over two years and I would recommend it to anybody. Give it a try before spending a large wedge of cash on a more expensive model.

This is a great item at a bargain price,bought it for a pair of Celestron Skymaster binoculars,which are quite heavy.The tripod is extremely well made,sturdy and is easy to adjust,excellent value for money would highly recommend..

This can be used for a range of items. i use it for my DSLR And my projector, screws straight onto the camera mount and allows for ample movement and positioning, adjustable in so many spots and very lightweight, perfect if your looking for a cheap camera or projector tripod. comes with a nice bag to store and carry and folds up nice and small. i wouldnt bash this around the place as it feels quite hollow to reach the lightweight, but with a bit of care this should last you a long time

Good basic adjustable tripod, solid construction with carry bag, small and compact to carry around when folded down.
