Well built and compact
This tripod feels very well built and sturdy, and is a great price. Have not had any issues with any parts coming loose. The 360 ball head allows for precise adjustment which is great. The quick release base plate is also a great addition, very convenient. The tripod is able to extend to be very tall but also is able to collapse into a fairly compact size considering its height and capabilities. I am able to fit it in a large tote bag, or just carry it around in the case that comes with it. Have not used the phone mount but it seems well made. I have not had it very long so I cannot vouch for how well it holds up, but it seems like it will last a good while

Fantastic little tripod.
An absolutely fantastic tripod. Very easy to set up right out of the box, and has good instructions with visual aid. It was the perfect height for a travel tripod, and fit right inside of my backpack. Had no issues with any stability, and was able to take photos very well on it with both my Micro Four Thirds Olympus, and my phone. Perfect for travel of any kind, or as a main tripod.

Good for small astrophotography
Nice but the legs are a little weak. OK for DSLR and small refractor. 2" eyepieces tend to be heavy.

A big upgrade from my thrift shop special
Ah, the camera tripod - boon and bane of the landscape photographer. I had been shooting with a rather aged Sears tripod that I picked up in a thrift shop for a few bucks, but I wanted something sturdier and more compact for a trip out west. It was indeed compact enough to stuff into my checked bag, and then into my 25L day-hike backpack, and it was also light enough that I didn't really feel it too badly whenever I took it along. When set up, it's a reasonable height for me, but I'm on the short side of average...if you're taller, I'd look for something that can extend higher. I will say that it's vastly more solid than the cheapo tripod I had been using. I really like the ball head; it helps me dial in the angle I want with minimal effort, and I can take portrait-orientation photos with it as well. All in all, this is a good travel/hobbyist tripod. It was nice to have on this summer's travels, and it's continuing to be useful on my photo excursions more locally.
