Seriously amazing RC Truck
I was honestly so impressed by this RC truck. It is very well built and durable, the design is great with a low center of gravity so it doesn't flip easily, I didn't need to do a thing to assemble it, made it easy. I was happy it came with 2 batteries too. I was shocked at how fast it is and how well it maneuvers. At a relatively cheap price and I even got same day delivery which was amazing. My kids love it, my dogs love to chase it, and it has been a really fun thing for the family to play around with. Overall I am so happy with this product and may buy another one purely for the kids.

Durable, quality, great performance, one of the best bashers out there, period.
Wow, what can I say about this little beast. Probably one of the best little basher there is. It exceeds expectations, it is super tough, very quick for it's size and handles great. The "fun factor" of these are way higher than many other faster more "high end" name branded RCs. I have 3 of these myself. After showing them off to my family and friends, they have ordered some for themselves because they were so impressed with it. You can bash these without worrying about breaking them within reason! Even in the rain! Yes they are waterproof, more so than I expected, but still wouldn't advise getting it fully submerged (although I took mine through some huge mud puddles, and still all good). I do suggest you clean and WD-40 after running it in the harsh elements to keep it alive and well.I would say the only weak points or cons so far I have found are:-Body shell is thin and will crack quick. However you can cure this by gorilla taping the inside of the shell. It will do wonders, especially where the body mount holes are. While it does add minor weight, it makes the body able to hold up to the abuse the rest of the RC can endure.-Body clips are super thin and these RCs will shed them the first time you roll or flip it. Highly recommend ordering extras and having them on hand when you go out and bash. I ordered some 1/16 clips by apex on Amazon and they are much heavier duty and will actually stay in, plus they come in a pack of 100 so if you do lose one you have tons of spares.-Battery that comes with it does not give you much run time, maybe 10 mins maximum. It also doesn't unleash the true potential of these little RCs. I highly recommend buying a LiPo for it (search "7.4v 1100 mAh LiPo JST", there are a couple options. These are the batteries for WLtoys A949, A959, A969, A979 and A929 and will fit into the HBX Rampage, Hailstorm, and Rachet. You just have to move the screw up one hole on your battery hold down). These batteries are probably the biggest upgrade you can do along with adding the upgraded oil shocks. Turns this thing into a little animal with added punch and acceleration, along with 2x or more the runtime. Only thing is to be mindful about not running the battery too low as I do not believe the ESC has a LiPo cutoff so if you run it too low it can damage the LiPo.-Shocks that come stock are friction style without oil and are extremely bouncy and make it a bit hard to control, and do not protect the chassis from bottoming out so you will bang it up quick. The upgraded oil shocks available for these are completely worth it. Highly recommend. Makes this RC go from toy to hobby grade. The only part I have broke on these is a part in the steering assembly. I would say this is the only weak link in this whole platform. I wish they had an upgrade for it but unfortunately they do not. Just be aware this is the part to check after hard hits and crashes. I have broke 2 on 2 separate occasions. Both were probably my fault as I'm not easy on these at all but as stated before, it is a weak point. What makes it even tougher is the part is not available from anywhere in the USA and has to be ordered from China. It took about 3 weeks for me to get so if you do break this part be expecting a bit of down time. I would also recommend buying extras if and when you do order it. (HBX part# 18109).Overall, I can't say enough good things about this little RC, it has been one of the best most reliable and fun RCs I have ever owned, period. Highly recommend. Thing will take abuse and just keep going, and has great performance to boot. I always bring one in a backpack when I go out bashing any of my other RCs and always end up ending the bash session with it! (My little Ole reliable!) Just wish any of the parts were able to get faster. Thank you and I hope this helps anyone looking at these great little RCs.

A tough, quick and fun truck for a great price.
The media could not be loaded. First impressions:Packaging is very nicely done where even having some damage to the outer shell probably wouldn’t affect the truck itself. After a couple of quick snips of zip ties, the truck is free along with the transmitter and paperwork. The truck itself gives a very nice impression. It looks like a hobby grade vehicle and not something that you’d buy from Target. I was happy to see a normal 9g servo up front and everything is ready to run. Drop a couple of batteries in the transmitter, charge up the battery in the truck and away you go.Going over the truck, I removed the body clips and shell and was happy to see a well designed suspension, steering linkage, and that the general layout of the components is well thought out. It looks completely serviceable and upgradable. After I went over the multi-language manual, I found the parts list and some basic exploded diagrams which gives someone with a little more knowledge the information they need to do more extensive rebuilds. Beginners might have to think about it a little more, but the information is there. One concern is the availability of parts, but after contacting BBM Hobby, they said they will stock the most likely to break parts on the Amazon site. The radio is a combination ESC and Rx in one. The battery is charged through the balance port on a USB charger. You’ll need a USB port either on a computer or phone charger, but this also means you can charge it in your truck at a park if you’re willing to wait the 1.5-2 hour charging time. I’d highly recommend buying a couple more batteries. The battery is a 2S lithium 700mah with a JST connector. You can find high capacity batteries which will give you longer run times online. I’m probably going to pick up something around 800maH or better.I just took it out for the first time and I had a blast with it. The truck went over the grass easily and handles rougher terrain without breaking a sweat. I even took it over a bit of a gravel pile that I had and the gearing made easy work of it. At first the speed of the truck is what I had expected of this kind of build, but I discovered an all important switch at the top of the transmitter labeled ‘Slow/Normal’. I flipped that switch from Slow to Normal and I had a whole new beast on my hands. The truck can move (Yah, I missed that on the manual)! The steering is responsive and the truck handles well on flat ground. I had to flip it a couple of times when I was racing around my backyard over uneven terrain, but I do believe that better shocks will improve the stability quite a bit.As for durability, for the most part, I see this as a solid rig that can withstand a LOT! The quality of its parts seems good and it’s taken a few tumbles already without any adverse affects. I haven’t “sent it” by any means yet but I’m looking for some nearby tracks since I’m new to this particular neighborhood. In the meantime, I’m letting it roll off my stairs and having fun letting my dogs chase it around. My overall impression is that this is a great starter truck for someone who doesn’t want a toy grade truck, but also doesn’t want to make the investment into a hobby grade truck. I give it 5 starts to be honest for the truck itself, but the lack of ALL the parts being available is something I’m hopeful the vendor will increase to benefit the popularity of this truck. You’ll definitely want to get more batteries so you’re spending more time racing rather than charging. I’d also recommend buying a good charger that works in the field as well as at home. Being able to maintain your batteries will extend the life of them greatly and a good charger can help.A few upgrades I’ll look into will be a brushless motor and ESC (I’ll have to replace the servo and reciever as well) metal drive shafts, and oil filled shocks. The latter two are available from the manufacturer. Here are some current links to the upgrades I mentioned;Metal drive shafts;https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X6FR8MW?ref=myi_title_dpOil filled shockshttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X5L2NP1?ref=myi_title_dpA tough, durable and fun truck for a great price.
