Good for the price but not great for young chicks just leaving the brooder box.
Definitely bigger than what I needed it for but it's ok because it will actually work well in the long run. I originally bought this for my grow outs that where too small to roam with the older girls but too big to be in the brooder. I figured it would be great protection for the little birds and they could start socializing with the others. It took me a minute to figure out how to put it together because the instructions where a bit confusing to follow a first. After getting it together I can say it wouldn't do well for predator protection by itself. It is on the flimsy side but most pens like this always is. It almost reminds me of a portable dog playpen which is good because it's light and easy to move around by myself. It's definitely not good for standard size chicks or young turkeys under 12 weeks or really and young slender chicks. My adult hens can fit there head between the bars easily and a few of my chicks where able to squeeze through the bars and escape within seconds of me moving them into it. Buyer be warned if you are planning on buying this for grow outs like I did. With a little fencing, zip ties and ingenuity, it would work for younger chicks.

Does exactly what I need it to do!
It was time for my young chickens to learn what it’s like to be outside, after spending their first several weeks of life inside the warm brooder. I was on the hunt for a quick fix that can easily be stowed away and this was it. It went together quickly with zip ties; however they were terribly weak and several broke, so we used our own stash. We didn’t use the ‘roost bar’ and that is definitely not designed for chickens. It took about 10 minutes for us to set up and carry outside. The chicks definitely loved being out there, learning to scratch and peck as chickens do. This isn’t predator safe and it’s not meant to keep chickens/animals in overnight, but definitely does its job in letting them be safely outside while I’m out there. The rain cover worked perfectly too, since it started raining about an hour after they went in… they learned quickly too that there is cover to huddle under. I like the multiple doors as well, it gives you options on putting animals in and taking them out. Granted, we are only using one right now, but options are good! I do recommend closing off those that you aren’t using with a zip tie as well, so it doesn’t accidentally come open.

I Got What I Paid For
This is a large budget friendly chicken run. It went up easily and the chickens like the extra pecking room. I paid $84.99 and I got a $84 chicken run and it's great. I did have to add chicken wire around the perimeter because I have two little dogs that have no problems biting off the head of any chicken who puts their heads through the wire looking for a treat. This is not a criticism of the unit. It arrived as per the description.

Nice size and easy to move around the yard
This is a great size for our 10 chickens. My kids enjoy being in there with them as well. The paper directions were tricky to follow, but the video in the item listing was clearer, so I mainly watched that to assemble it! Great product to allow chickens to free range with some predator protection!

Very sturdy
4yrs and still using it. Has held up very nicely in the elements

Horrible.
My chickens first night in this cage and predators were able to break in and killed all of them. Six of them gone. Not a single one lived.Save yourself the heartache and spend the money to get something safer and more secure so you don’t have to cry after trusting a faulty, cheaply made, product. And yes, I followed all the directions and even over zip tied while using every pin to ‘secure’ the bottom of my cage. The bars are way too spaced away from each other and allow basically anything to get in.

not predator proof
It is large enough for containing my chicks. But the wire is flimsy and not in any way predator proof. Not even small house cat proof. Overall, it is ok for daytime in a monitored and secured environment - but if you have dogs or wild predators, beware. this will not keep them safe

Super Cage!
It was easy to put together, and has held up (6 months or so). We put it outside and put our half-grown chicks into it to get some sun and grass. They loved it. We could move it to new grass easily. The only problems were that we wish the center strut was not a round wire---the chicks wanted to perch on it, and it was difficult for them---AND that it was hard to get them out of it. It has at least 4 hatches, but the chicks would run to the corners and make it difficult for us to catch them to bring them in for the night. Obviously, if they stayed in there, it would be perfect. You can put feed and water in thru the hatches just fine. But we had to get them out, and so I had to crawl inside by lifting the whole end up, stay crouched, slide awkwardly on cardboard under that center support and try to reach the chicks, and then hand them out to my husband one at a time. Definitely awkward, but it got cold at night and we couldn't leave them there outside. Still, it's a handy rig for the money! And we can use it to quarantine sick hens or new ones.
