I kill all the plants. I’ve tried to grow my kitties some grass before and it didn’t work out. After seeing reviews on this I decided to give it a try. The only problem I’m having is keeping my cats away from it long enough for it to fully grow LOL. This was the easiest thing ever! And it’s growing so fast! This is day 5 and you can see where my 8 month old has been ripping some out already.I will be ordering refills and more for around the house!!

I truly loved this idea. My cats tried to eat all of my house plants so I bought them this. Safer for them. It grew exactly as it claimed. I was intrigued by this product. Of course my cats were interested for a good 5 minutes until they went for my plants again. I haven't bought another refill for it to try again but I will. .

As described. grew quickly. grass seems to be a little 'tough'. I liked the idea but my cats won't have anything to do with it. Tried cutting tiny pieces and adding to their wet food. Had to throw out the food and open more. They would not touch it and were walking around meowing because they were hungry. I also forgot one of my cats has no teeth so he could not bite it off to chew it. The other one has teeth. They both used to nibble on grass outside but now are confined indoors. Was hoping they would like this but alas, no.

This was so easy to assemble and grow! My cat loves it!! He’s only indoors and I see him rubbing his face in his grass and so cute to have beside his food

This item is very pricey compared to other cat grass kits available-basically double. Because of the reviews and my needs, I went with it and actually bought two because I have multiple cats and even a small dog that occasionally will eat the grass.Pros: The way to put it into use is written clearly, a clean process, and simple to set up. No dirt to contend with which means no dirt on my floor or in my pet's mouth when they pull the grass out. I do really like the overall look of the tray. The wood is more of a band that goes around the outside of the washable tray and I do like that for hygiene reasons-I feel like I can really scrub out the tray. It seems to be fairly well constructed, it's sturdy and not flimsy thin wood. It appears this is the same kit they would send if you were purchasing their human consumable items just labeled for pet use. The grass that did grow, grew tall and smells sweet like it should.Neutral: The varnish on the wood is not super smooth and flaking off but really that is a minor inconvenience and it is far enough away from the grass that I am not concerned for the safety of the cats. I did scratch off loose bits of the varnish flakes so that the cats don't ingest them but it left areas of now unprotected wood.Cons: The growth was not at all what was expected. It is about 30% of the seeds that sprouted and grew and I followed the instructions to a tee. I spent a long time making sure the seeds were in a single layer, they do fill the bottom nicely but just didn't sprout. I waited until now so that I was right in the temperature range for good growth too since that makes a huge difference with plants. I had the same results on both trays which makes me think it was not a singular package glitch. The refill packets are also pretty expensive so I don't know how many times I will refill it.Overall, I'm a little disappointed simply because of the price vs results. From what grew, I think there should be a few mats and seeds in the pack at this price point-that would make it worth it in my mind. Some of the cats did sniff around and pretty quickly ate down the thin sparse grass but others still went outside and ate the wild grasses that I was hoping to keep them from by growing my own.

My feral rescue kitten might love his cat grass a little too much?! lol. My adult house cat has tried to show him how to normally eat grass but he doesn’t seem to grasp the idea. This grass is great quality, super fast growing & easy as it gets for growing cat grass! I can’t be mad if it’s going to die in a week from being laid instead of being eaten and allowed to grow its full height. My cats (and dog) love this stuff! Will be buying a new grow mat and seeds. Worth a try!

2ND Update! Seller reached out to me and not only refunded, but is sending me more seeds to try again! she's helping to figure out what happened to make the seeds not germinate. She is going above and beyond expected!! I am beyond impressed at her STELLAR customer service!! I will be recommending her to all my friends as we are so very worried about keeping our beloved furchildren inside and happy. Bird Flu is a terrible disease, and it is possible for kitties to get it not just from raw food but walking over bird droppings!! I've had bird feeders and houses for YEARS so I'm sure there is the possibility of exposure. I'm guessing from her kindness that she is a kitty mum as well! I could not be more impressed or happy!!UPDATE. Seller reached out and gave a full refund. Will buy the refill kit soon and try again. It's important to be able to keep my boy indoors now!Ordered this to grow cat Grass in as I have a little bugger who loves to door dash out and eat grass. With bird flu, it's not safe. Want him to be happy with indoor grass. Followed the directions exactly, but seeds didn't germinate. Have sent msg to seller, will update if they respond.The planter is really good, easy to use, no leaks and my cat did like the few strands that grew. It's a really good idea, especially now.

Don't buy the refill kits! They're waaaay too thin and the grass can barely survive. The grass will NOT come out lush and green like un mowed golf turf grass. If you add 4 cups of water after placing the mat in the frame, it floods the box and mat and the small, half- thick mat can NOT absorb it. Even 1 cup of water is too much water to be absorbed.
