UPDATE: We didn't have it for very long at all before it just fell apart. First, a trigger button just randomly fell off. But that didn't really hurt anything, so I let it go. Then, it was stuck going up. It made it harder to pick shows. You had to be quick. Then, it got stuck going up and left. This meant that even if you were fast enough to pick the show you wanted, it just immediately exited back to the main menu. I contacted Square Trade and once I was able to make them understand that the trigger falling off happened weeks prior and had nothing to do with the d-pad malfunctioning, they honored the warranty. Still haven't sent me the shipping label 2-3 weeks later, though. But I'm sure they eventually will. Just to clarify, the actual buttons themselves aren't stuck. The remote just thinks someone is pressing them. In 20 years of gaming, we have only ever had this happen to 1 other controller, and it was a few years old when it finally went out-- not a couple of months.Between my experience of it falling apart and failing, and the other comments saying their failed after a few uses/months, I'd say just dodge this.OLD REVIEW: I haven't had any problems with it. I got the 4-year Square Trade protection plan for less than $2 just in case.It is worth noting that we no longer use our PS3 for gaming and have since retired it to the playroom to be used for Netflix/Prime/Hulu/DVDs/Etc. I cannot say that it doesn't lag or won't wear out quickly when used for hours on end on a daily basis. But if you're like me and do not want to pay more than $15 to be able to start a show for the kids once in a while, it's a safe bet.I've dealt with Square Trade before on a tablet with a shattered screen and got the full amout refunded, so I'm confident that if it does break on me, I will be able to get a new one. If not, at least it was only $15 compared to $35 for a used one with no protection plan. And no way was I even considering paying $60 for a glorified TV remote.

This controller works perfect. Yes I still game on my PS3 and my after MUCH use, my original controllers stopped working. I bought these because it's difficult and expensive to find Sony brand PS3 controllers. They work great, coming from a gamer. Also the battery life has been better than my Sony ones.4 Stars because as another reviewer pointed out, they do not have the same "feel" as the original Sony, but I have gotten used to them. I do not notice any lag. Also every time I start my system, the controller is registered as controller 2. I have to start a game, go the menu and change it. Some games will only respond to controller 1.

Over all it works. I was hoping to get a changing cord with it for the price. Its just the controller though, buy your own charging cord.

I got this for my husband to use with his PS3 and he says it is pretty good. The price is really great compared to the Playstation brand and it synced with his PS3 as it should. He really likes that the Bek controller can be charged with a USB cable, which is super convenient. All the buttons work properly, but the function of the R2 & L2 buttons while driving a vehicle in a game doesn't have sensitivity like a Sony controller does (i.e. there's no gradual acceleration when driving - you either go full speed or you stop). But, with that being said, if you aren't buying this controller specifically for a game in which you primarily drive, it is a great, money-saving option and is more convenient than a Sony due to its USB charging capabilities and would be perfect for any non-driving games.

This controller is a great substitute to the original PS3 controller. My son likes how the controller’s triggers sort of resemble that of a PS4’s and how the controller also came with grips in a separate bag. No issues so far except that the controller goes crazy when connecting it to the PS3. Then again, that may be because we’re not using the original cable. Anyway, this controller is great and arrived speedy and on time. Great purchase, for a great price!

When 3 of my Sony PS3 controllers all shorted out within 2 months of each other, despite having bought them years apart, I was looking for a good replacement. My new Bek red PS3 controller has been used continually since I received it! the end of December 2017. It is sensitive, and though it feels a bit different from a Sony in the click of the buttons, it works so well that I've been very pleased and have already ordered a second for a friend. The toggles are smooth and work well.I did turn down my look sensitivity in game a bit so I could fine tune my movements. It feels good in my hands, and there is no lag or hiccups. I would highly recommend this for anyone who games a lot and wants an affordable PS3 controller(s).Would buy again and again!

The battery life isn't amazing on this one, though I've never played long enough in one sitting that it's died on me. I just notice that it goes down to two bars faster than the PS-sold controllers. The buttons are a bit stiff as well and take getting used to, but I was still able to play some quick-button games (e.g., Dark Souls) just fine. I will most likely buy another of these once my other controller goes out.
