This bra is kind of retro but I like that. The 50s and 60s vintage sweater girl is an esthetic I really enjoy. All you need is a full skirt with a voluminous petticoat, a tight sweater and an attitude and you can be that girl.

This 1940-style bullet/cone bra is exactly what I wanted. Without wires or padding, all the shaping comes from the style and intricate stitching. Adjustable shoulder straps allow for comfort and degree of lift. This is the style bra worn by Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, and many other "sweater girls". My husband thinks it's much more alluring than the matronly, "molded melon" padded bras so popular today.

When I got around to trying it on, I discovered that it far too small, even though the size was precisely what all my other bras are. This is supposed to be supportive and full coverage, but the cups only fit my areolas. Can’t fasten it…. It’s just too small.
