if safety is your concern, then I do not recommend you use this grinding wheel. However, if you take precautions by using a safety glasses, gloves, and/or earplugs, then you should be OK. I used this wheel to grind down several concrete bricks and it does an excellent job with very quick and smooth cuts. I also use that to grind down my concrete foundation in the front of my garage in order to custom fit the surrounding molding.Even after use, the grinding wheel still looks brand new. I highly recommend this product as it was worth the money.

I used this grinding wheel to shave down the top of a couple of large buried granite boulders that were sticking up just enough to catch my mower blades. This wheel worked perfectly, it probably took me less than thirty minutes to do both. I removed nearly two inches of rock from each one. This thing cuts amazingly fast and it appears to have barely worn down after all of this grinding. I had a hose "drizzling" on the rocks and I still had a fair bit of dust. I wore a dust mask, face shield and ear-plugs. You need to keep a firm grip on the grinder as it tends to want to "walk" away from you as you grind. A side-handle is a must. You don't need to apply much pressure, the weight of the grinder and wheel will do the work. I've seen this wheel recommended for grinding down roots. I tried this and it didn't really work very well. It got the roots pretty hot (to the point of smoking), but it didn't really remove much material. Perhaps it would work better if the root was dry and dead. A hand adze is really the tool of choice here.

worked well grinding high spots on concrete floor on a new build home. Decent quality, cut as expected, durable with a light weight grinder.

I used this to smooth rough conrete on the floor of our outside shower which trapped dirt, leaves and other debris and was not easy to clean. This thing worked great and the shower floor is now smooth. I read some reviews before purchasing that indicated poor durability but I decided to give it a try. I experienced no durability issues. The wheel looks fine after a lot of grinding and appears ready to take on another job. As several reviewers noted there is a lot of noise and dust created when grinding concrete (well duh!) so good PPE should be used for eyes, ears and nose.

Powerful on concrete or tiles - hard work and lots of dust!

So far so good I'm using it with water and I've ground approximately 275 sqft of garage floor. It seems to be holding up. I would recommended it and I will be looking to buy from this store again

This wheel was amazing. First to receive it in only hours and then the performance was 5 star. Ill be honest with you, I was afraid to use this 7" grinder that's 2 feet long and weighs 20 lbs. Picked up at a pawn shop years ago and came in handy when the 4 1/2 grinder went up in flames trying to remove thinset mortar. Make sure you have plenty of water on hand to keep dust to minimum this blade is a beast and ripped through the mortar fast. It also was able to leave a fine polished surface on the concrete base.

Perfect for leveling floor under a door threshold or around a toilet flange. Grinds concrete purdy darn good. Recommend.
