The UniFi NVR with 2TB HDD from Ubiquiti Networks is capable of managing and recording from up to 50 cameras. The NVR is plug-and-play and the setup wizard automatically detects cameras for quick setup. The UniFi Video Camera G3 features clear 1080p video resolution. The new ball joint mount design offers flexible 3-axis adjustment and can be mounted indoors or outdoors. The camera has infrared LEDs with an automatic IR cut filter for day and night surveillance.

Good But Not A Complete System
It has taken me months and several different installers to get close to getting this system up and running. The system is not user friendly in my opinion. I started getting this installed in April and am still working on it in October. Even the CAT cables were special and I had to have made. My system did not come with the PoE(s) for the cameras and I've tried a few different alternatives to work around it but had to break down and purchase a Ubiquity PoE/switch which was just under $200 on Amazon. This is the major cause for the extended installation time. First I was told I needed a switch and when it still didn't work, it took another 3 weeks to figure out the PoE(s) were missing. Hopefully this will be the last roadblock and I will have a functioning system in a week. The payoff is going to be the longevity of the system and the quality of the video.

Fantastic camera system for those with a bit of networking knowledge
First let me say this is not a good package price deal; it is less expensive to buy the UVC-G3 5 pack and then the NVR separately, so this seller is not giving a discount at all for the bundle. As of right now there is another review on Amazon that gives this system 3 stars and they say it took them several days (and installers) to get it up and running. The reviewer is correct in that these aren't for people who don't have at least an intermediate level of networking knowledge. While I understand the issues the review addressed, these issues were caused by a lack of understanding of the system they were purchasing. The Ubiquiti UVC-G3 cameras are POE cameras, which requires either a POE injector or POE switch. The individual cameras come with POE injectors, the 5 pack does not. Ubiquiti is assuming if you are buying 5 packs of cameras then you are probably doing a multiple camera system and will be using a POE switch, which is why the 5 pack does not come with injectors. As far as the system itself goes, the Ubiquiti system is a very good buy for the money. I have a few installations of multiple cameras, and with a few early hiccups (a camera that needed to be RMA'd and swapped out) they have been rock solid. The cameras have really good daytime resolution, and they are good at night as well, especially if there is any ambient lighting. (There is an optional IR extender which greatly improves nighttime resolution for the UVC-G3 bullet cam). The management interface is very clean, easy to use, and allows for a lot of control over the individual cameras; you can set each camera to either record all the time, motion only, or never record. You can change the recording resolution, set multiple motion detection zones, sensitivity, etc. The recordings save to the NVR's 500GB hard drive (a larger internal HDD will be available soon according to Ubiquiti) and if that's not enough storage space, you can connect an external HD (again, not plug and play but it is easily done by someone with networking knowledge). The camera system can be viewed remotely with Ubiquiti's app, or with any internet-connected computer with a Google Chrome browser. The benefit of the Unifi system is that you can manage multiple camera installations with a single login. So no, the Ubiquiti cameras are not super easy to configure for someone that expects to unbox it, plug it in, and walk away. But it is a very simple, clean system and in my experience the equipment (their NVR, cameras, and wireless access points) have been very stable and high quality products. Some of my installations have 25+ cameras running to the Unifi NVR and Ubiquiti's POE switches and only require rebooting during software upgrades. I will continue to purchase these for my installations as I have been very happy with these systems.
