A good value for money and versatile sander. The abilty to swap the base to a detail sander makes it even better value as you only need to buy one sander. It's very easy to use and the bases can be swapped in seconds. The variable speed setting is a useful addition.I've already given it a good workout and so far it seems quite durable. If I had one criticism it is that the dust collector can be quite difficult to remove, easily solved by using a bit of fine wet and dry to very slightly enlarge the neck of the collector. It would probably loosen up after a bit of use anyway but I'm impatient!I'm that impressed with it that I've since purchased a Tough Master orbital sander.

Works great , collects sanded wood dust in container at rear , have used many times and continues to give great results , recommend this item .

So this is pretty lightweight and does a hell of a job, the one negative is that the dust catcher catches nothing(when sanding plaster amyway) I actually found it did a better job when I took the dust bag/box off but on wood that might be a different story but value wise this is one of the better sanders I have ever used so if you have a small budget 100% recommend this is your choice

The Tough Master is a great, robust sander with the flexibility of two pads. It's easy and comfortable to hold, and has lots of power. The problem I have is with the additional sanding sheets that were promoted with it. They just don't stick to the sanding pad. Not sure if the problem lies with the sanding sheets or the velcro-style pad on the sander, probably the former. But it's very frustrating when the sanding sheets won't stick to the sander for more than a couple of minutes.

Arrived on time. After a few teething problems of the sandpaper not sticking to the sanding plate and seeking advise from fellow purchasers I’m pleased to say this has now been resolved, so a big thank you for the advise given…I found this tool to be heavier than I thought it would be but am still able to use it one handed, the comfort handle is a bonus and softens the vibration of the sander when in use…the variable speeds gives you more choice on how much sanding is required and can be altered to suit your needs…an added bonus is the two plates that come with this sander, I had trouble changing the plate originally, the instructions were not very clear but now I know how to do it it is very easy to do…the only down side to this sander is the dust box, it is not easy to fit and does not catch much dust but apart from that it is a great little machine and I would recommend this to any DIY, even a novice like myself is able to use it so it’s a big 👍from me and a 5* rating

Unable to remove sole plate to change pads

Good value,like that it can be a detail sander or sheet planer,works at good rate for required job so far ,can't comment on longevity as not had long.Brought to replace similar product.Update the hook and loop foam pad doesn't seem to last too long,need a replacement already after sanding just 11 kitchen doors
