I had to quickly order these unknown to me the little pieces under my breakpeddle had deteriorated. Needless to say the backlights would remain on. Called Nissan with no luck on a Sunday Amazon said they'd be in by 10p Monday actually arrived around 4p, was cost efficient as life is lifin. I had mine break from under my brake pedal, so I found these, I put a new one under it and it works excellent not only that but I have spares. SMILES..... if the brake lights don't go out it will wear your battery down.I recommend purchasing these. THANK YOU !!!!!

This is difficult to put into place. But once it's there, works great. It may be a good value for the money (4pk), but you probably will only use one.

Just what I needed when my Hyundai Santa Fe brake lights all of a sudden stayed on. It seems that most vehicles use this type of grommet to keep the brake lights off when the brake pedal is not depressed. It's a simple item that keeps the brake light switch plunger depressed to keep it in the open position. Press your brake pedal and the plunger moves outward closing the circuit and turning your lights on. A simple replacement to solve a brake light on problem.
