Get atomizers pack
Very good fragrance with delicate citric notes, get atomizers pack and keep one at home and another for your wallet/briefcase you will need it to re-apply several times during the day. Spray effectivement is short but pleasant, nice quality. I found it easy to apply and warmth.

Great cologne, good vintage smell.
It's an excellent perfume, smells exactly as I remember from back from my childhood (30 years ago :-) ). It was a gift for my dad and he is very pleased with it. It's a heavy bottle and the design is good. I will purchase it again for myself in the future.

Smells Like Neroli Portofino And Is Very LIGHT And NOT Lasting.
I kept hearing about this scent 4711, so I had to give it a try. It's been around since 1796 and it does smell pretty good.I think Tom Ford copied this scent for his "Neroli Portofino," because it is very similar, but his lasts a lot longer and is about 100 times the price of 4711 BY MUELHENS. The scent is light and smells like Bergamot mixed with other stuff. It's clean, but not crisp, warm, without being overly spicy. It is a refreshing scent. This 13.5 OZ bottle is huge for cologne, however, the scent does NOT last very long (maybe less than 30-minutes). I think this is by design (I could be wrong), but my uncle told me (on a recent trip to Vienna) that many old apartment buildings --especially those since WW2 and before-- don't have bathtubs or showers. And many poor and elderly people live in them and they don't even have their own toilet; they must share one. Most people in this situation only bathe once a week or so because they must use public baths, which cost money.Since 4711 was created during a time when only the very wealthy in Europe could afford indoor plumbing maybe this was used as a deodorizer type product. So by splashing it on the body it would eliminate offensive odors without just masking them like some cheap fragrances where one could end up with body odor on top of whatever the scent is.I could be wrong about this, but that's my guess. This is the first time I'm smelling it so I can't compare with previous experience. If you're looking for something very light this is a good product. It doesn't last very long at all, even less than DEMETER fragrances, so keep that in mind.It can be used by both genders.

Another favorite fragrance
This is one of my old time favorite colognes although I use it as an aftershave. Made in Germany and marketed as the original Eau de Cologne, 4711 has been around for a couple of centuries as I understand it. Being an old guy now, I can recall seeing ads for 4711 in Playboy magazine back in the 1960's so I never thought of it as anything other than a man's fragrance. Only later did I find out that ladies like it too and that it is marketed as being gender neutral. To my nose, it's brisk and sharp, citrusy and fresh with a floral hint. It's very light, not overpowering. The scent fades to the background rather quickly, leaving a light fragrance on the skin that's only noticeable to others when they're very close to you. I like that--I don't want to knock other people over with my fragrance but I want to smell nice to those close to me.This stuff has always been pretty inexpensive and it still costs less than most modern colognes/aftershaves pushed by high end cosmetics companies. Smells better as well. Recently I became aware of Florida Water by Murray and Lanman, another near ancient fragrance, this time made in the USA--also for about two centuries. I have to admit, I now like Florida Water a little better than 4711, especially since it costs quite a bit less. Both fragrances are close in scent, based on citrus and floral components with the Florida Water having a little better balance in my opinion. Give them both a try if you like the overall light fragrance.

Citrus scent is always "in season."
This cologne from Germany has been around a long time - none other than George Washington was supposed to have worn it. It delivers a persistent citrus aroma which cools off into a somewhat more sophisticated blend of spices. In strength it is longer lasting than an aftershave, but less than a full bodied cologne. Great for day or early evening wear.
