Pfaltzgraff Celina 16-Piece Stoneware Dinnerware Set, Service For 4 , Assorted -

I am delighted with my purchase. The pattern on this dinnerware set is sooo beautiful. The embossed beadwork gives the plates a lovely textured surface - very classy for an everyday set. The salad plates, bowls and mugs are a good size and none of the dinnerware feels flimsy or prone to chip easily. The dinner plates are bigger than expected. They're almost 12" wide. However while noticeable I don't think its detrimental. Another plus is that the plates can be put in the microwave. I may just get another set.

They look great. The dinner plates are oversized, which I liked (but you need to make sure they will fit in your standard cabinet depth). However, we are two adults who take care of our belongings and the mugs and plates all chip easily. I replace a set of stoneware where every piece was perfect after 30 years of daily use! I just wanted a new look. Well, with these I’m going to have another new look soon as these are going to Goodwill.

The plates are nearly the size of a charger and weigh a lot, but I really like them. We were down to a few remaining dishes from the discontinued pattern - Pfaltzgraff Mahagony Pointe and I finally decided to replace them. These are quite nice and seem like they will last quite a while.

Dinner plates are huge making them very heavy for my arthritic hands. It's nice dinnerware but not every plate looks the same due to the glazing process. It's normal for how it's made but didn't know when i ordered it. Nice sized coffee cups. I use the salad plates for our meals except when having company and lots of food. I am glad i kept them. Price was reasonable.

These dishes were bought for granddaughter’s new home. They haven’t been used yet, but familiar with these dishes. The packaging was horrible. They were put in boxes to big with nothing around them. Had broken dishes in each box. The dish boxes were allowed to slip around in the huge boxes they were shipped in

I was disappointed that when this arrived, 2 of the bowls were broken. That doesn't really have to with the product itself, but how it was shipped.On to the product review. This set is rather plain. The picture shows a much darker brown/tan on the edges, and really it's a sand color at its darkest on the edge. The exterior of the bowls is bumpy, so it is difficult to clean if you stack them in the sink or anything gets on them. The plates are normal size. They are not as thick and solid as some of the other Pfaltzgraff plates I've had before. Also, after one wash in the dishwasher, the color strip on the mug was chipping.Overall, they're pretty plain and not super well made.

1 bowl broken during shipment. Amazon shipped out a new set the same day, no questions asked. Excellent product and service from Amazon.

I ordered two sets of these dishes. Several arrived broken but I was quickly provided two replacement sets. Several pieces of the replacement sets were broken, but between the four sets I was able to get a placement for 8 all in one piece. Let me just say these dishes are stunning, however...I have had the intact set for just over a month and already one dish is chipped and the plates are showing utensil scratches. And this is a household without children. If you want to put these dishes on display then by all means, buy them. If you plan to use them, make another selection.
