Do they have single gate horizontal cover with cord slot coming out of "bottom" not vertically? Dont wsnt to twist landscape lighting transformer cord

If you mount the cover horizontally, there are spots to cut out for your electrical cord so it will come out of the bottom.

The dimensions of the face of the box I have is 4 and 5/8 by 2 and 3/4. Will this cover fit?

This will fit. The back of it fits against the front of your box. It comes with 3 interchangeable face plates to go with the outlet or switch that is in your box.

will 2 heavy duty cords plugged in to both outlets fit through the bottom hole and still seal? I've tried 3 that don't close tight w 2 cords

2 12 gauge molded cord caps would be really tight. I just put the cover down as far as possible and leave it. From an electricians standpoint, it isn't a big deal if the cover isn't clicked closed when it is in use. I've had open cords plugged in in the rain and never tripped the GFCI. The GFCI is what makes outdoor and damp connections safe, not enclosures.
