Worked like a charm
We have an LG WM9000HVA front loading washer that we purchased about 5 years ago. Recently we started experiencing a change in the normal sound when going through the rinsing cycle. The rinse typically uses cold water and the sound was a loud squealing sound. After cleaning the inlet filter the sound did not go away. I was worried that the valve was getting ready to fail so I ordered this one. I’ve replaced these valves before on a previous front loader we had so had a little experience for doing this. Total replacement time, including pulling the washer out and vacuuming up the dust took me about 40 minutes, very easy. We are back up and running with no noise, problem solved!

Just what we needed!
Like others here, we were seeing water leakage from the bottom right side of our Kenmore Elite washing machine that was made by LG. We couldn't tell exactly where it was coming from but eventually we were shown a FE error, which indicates the washing machine was encountering a fill error. When these valves go out, they can go out open or closed, so be very careful that you do not have an open valve that filled the drum until the washer realized what was happening and threw the error code. In this instance, which is what happened for us, if you open the door, it will send water flying everywhere and it's A LOT of water. Use the drain hose down at the bottom left of the front panel to drain the washer so this isn't a concern. In our case, we drained almost 11 one gallon buckets from ours before it was empty.I then turned off the water and disconnected the fill hoses, draining them into a bucket before removing four screws from the back of the top panel. The panel then slides right off with easy access to the inlet valves. While this cold inlet valve was what was leaking, both it and then hot water inlet valve were rusted out so we replaced both at the same time. Before beginning, I used a Sharpie to mark each hose and connector for the valves and then took a photo (attached). I find this helps with making sure everything is connected correctly after the replacement.I then placed a container on top of the drum for any water that might drain out of the hoses and began removing hoses by squeezing the hose clamps with a pair of pliers and placing the hose in the bowl. Once all were removed, I removed two screws on each valve and they came loose from the cabinet. I wrapped the new valves with some pipe dope and then slid them through the cabinet opening and secured them with the two screws. Now that the new valves were in, I reconnected the black hoses to each of the inlet valves and then double-checked the numbers for good measure. The fill hoses are next but it's important to note that its easy to damage a valve by overtightening so hand tighten and then use a pair of slip-joint pliers to tighten it another 2/3 of a turn or so. Once this was done, I turned the water back on to each and started a new cycle, leaving the top panel off for the first load to make sure there were no leaks. All in all, a very easy and affordable repair but at less than four years since they were installed, I feel the washer has had problems too quickly.

Perfect WM2233HW LG front load washing machine, DIY fix
Our model WM2233HW LG front loading washing machine was constantly filling up with water, even after it stopped running or was sitting unused. Opened door and it was so high it all came flooding out. Some error code FoE maybe, I dont recall.A little googling and video it was likely inlet valves. Ordered this for hot inlet.Took off a few screws on back top, slid the top of washer toward back to get out from the front lip to take it off. You can see how corroded they were.Disconnect connectors (plastic clear things), disconnect hose (keep track order). Unscrew two screws, put new one in done.Replaced the hot one it to. Reversed order put everything back together.Works great now, no flooding.

Exact fit Kenmore Elite Washer
Washer was displaying an FE error code and I could hear the water continuing to run as if it was stuck. Temporary fix was to turn off cold water, pause the cycle, turn the cold water back on, then resume the cycle. You tube troubleshooting pointed to the inlet valve. Took about 15 minutes to replace (it was right on top). Anyone can do it. A couple screws to remove top of washer, a couple more holding the valve. Three hose clamps and three electrical connectors and you're done. Remember to mark the wires and hoses to keep from mixing them up. Not sure if any other components failing would cause this error but for the price of the part and how easy it is to replace definitely worth trying before calling a pro.

worked a-okay. Looked new and well packaged.
Was a drop in replacement for original 3 piece cold water valve that started leaking from the top of the valve body after just over 10 years of ownership. Happy with this replacement.
