Great quality
I was skeptical about a 20$ petcock but mine was leaking so bad I needed something. This not only was about the same cost as a rebuild kit but it's also way better than the one I had. It was a breeze to install came with everything including new screws and mesh filters I didn't have to use anything from the old set! Looks great too! I highly recommend getting one if you are looking for a new one.

Fuel Peacock replacement
Item was as described and packaged well! Fit was perfect for my 2006 Yamaha V-Star 1100 Classic! Definitely needed replacement. Sealed great and not a bad price.

Fits really well but...
The media could not be loaded. Really well built. Fitment is as good as oem. I would dare to say that I like the built of this petcock over the oem one. There is one problem though. As other have mentioned, the off setting to shut off fuel doesn't work. It really doesn't bother me as much but expect the petcock to leak when shutting it off to remove the tank from the bike. I know some people also use this function when storing the motorcycle for winter and want to keep the carburator from getting fuel in it and gumming up the jets.

Just snug it. Don’t over tighten. To tight will leak.
Part fit great on my 2001 Road Star Silverado

Easy to install.
My tank rusted from the ethanol fuel that was left in it. The drain plugged up and the filter was damaged trying to clean it up. This replaced the whole thing and works great. It is even easier to twist and chance settings than the 20 year old factory unit.
