LG Tone Free FP9 - very good for music, excellent for audiobooks and podcasts.
I love the LG Tone Free FP9 earbuds. I also purchased two of the older FP8 earbuds in excellent condition for a very low price. The FP9 and FP8 are identical if you exclude the case functionality. The earbuds (8 and 9) fit and stay in my ears comfortably. They are so comfortable that often I forget that I am wearing them. The earbud touch functions work well with click tone verification of each touch. Since I mostly use bluetooth earbuds to listen to audiobooks (at least four hours per day), comfort, battery life, and functionality in mono mode are the highest priorities for me. For functionality, skip back (prev track) is a must have for listening to books. Being able to set skip back on both earbuds so that I can swap earbud use is important.I highly recommend these earbuds because of the feature set. I own dozens of bluetooth earbuds (Samsung, Soundcore, Earfun, Sony) and the most used are the Tone Free and Sony neckband earbuds. The silicone case accessory makes carrying the FP9 earbud case very accessible.Pros:Long battery life normal 9 to 10 hours as manually tested.ANC mode hi low optionAmbient mode hi low optionApp (IOS and Android) control of LG earbudsEarbud fits well in my ear, can stay in overnight while I sleepSingle earbud use allows full configure of pause, fwd/prv, volume up/down.Small pocketable case - good silicone cases available on Amazon, keep FP9 case closed while hanging from my belt loop.NanoUV disinfection featureWireless connection to 3.5 mm jack - turns any 3.5mm earphone jack into a bluetooth connection to the FP9.Great bass and other eq, including two custom eqBeep on each earbud touch unless TouchPad settings are disabledGreat for audiobook, podcast listening due to great single earbud use. All earbud touch settings work in mono mode.Less expensive than Apple Airpods, Samsung buds, Sony xm4Battery life of earbuds in one percent detailVery light earbudsGreat 5 minute charge for 1 hour featureLow latency game modeAuto pause when earbud removed from ear disable optionVery easy to re-pair to new deviceConsAbout one and a half additional charges from fully charged case based upon manual testing. No wireless charging of FP9 case. The FP8 provides wireless charging in place of wired bluetooth function.

Great Quality buds
Very nice earbuds in quality. The sounds are rich and vibrant for both music and media. I personally don't use them for talking on the phone but they work well enough. There is a nice whisper mode fearure where you take out one bud and hold the other near your mouth to speak and it comes off clear. I like the small size of the charger and overall package. Another key feature is the charger can independently connect to any 3.5 audio out and wireless connect to the earbuds. This is great for monitors without speakers or low sound but can be useful in many situations. The battery life is solid 7-10 hours depending on the quality mode. The app has many features to adjust the sound to your preferences. Also if you lose your earbud the app can help you locate it with a beeping sound. Lastly the UV bacteria killing light is a sweet extra touch. All around very useful pair of earbuds that does more than it's competitors. Very satisfied.

Good quality sound and features, but not robust enough for daily use.
Long one because I am disappointed. Check later sections for the good, mid, and bad if you don’t want more context.I have been an LG booster for a solid 13+ years. I worked in a warehouse and needed wireless headphones so that the cable wouldn’t get hooked on stuff while I was moving around. I bought versions of the lg tone series, neckband style, headphones over that time, and they would usually last about 2-4 years, and could have probably been used longer, but I would want an upgrade. When I was no longer there, the neckband became less necessary, but I still listen to podcasts and watch YouTube every day, and prefer buds to the phone speakers so that the sound stays with me, even if I walk away, etc, so I decided to splurge and go for these.First the good: sound quality is definitely there, as I have come to expect from LG. Can do decent bass, or utilize a feature that uses the mic to allow outside sounds to still be audible. Also good is the battery life. I charge the case maybe once or twice a week. Mostly use one bud at a time, and a solid chunk of my day is spent with a bud in, and I have had them run out of juice maybe once ever.I also was wary of dropping the band for the case. I will take buds out and put them in many times, and the band makes that process very convenient. The case is a good size though, easy to keep in a pocket, and it has been rare that it wasn’t in reach when I needed to grab a bud, or put one a way.The mid: the mics are not great. They sound a bit muffled and low res. Any time I want to record a voice note for a song idea, or guitar/piano part quickly, I make sure I put them away and use the phone’s mic, because the buds sound pretty bad. Also, a quirk, if a bud doesn’t have enough juice, they will activate the other one’s mic, so I had some random occurrences where phone calls were awkward because the other bud was in the case and in a pocket, or in another room.Another nitpick, I wish the blue light sanitizer would turn on when they are not plugged in. Since they rarely need to be charged, it doesn’t end up getting used often, and I don’t want to harm the battery life by plugging them in just to use it. If battery life was a concern, then it could have been a switch to turn the feature off. It also is incredibly brief anyway, so I am not sure how much it actually does anyway. The bad: it’s been barely over a single year, and they are falling apart. The glue on the seams of the buds themselves seems to be melting, and they need to be pushed closed a lot. Cleaning needs to be done carefully because the glue holding the tiny screen over the drivers is melting as well. Very disappointing that these will probably be unusable without attempting a repair in the next couple months. There’s not even a “snap” to the seam on the buds, so once the adhesive gives up completely, they will just fall apart. This isn’t the build quality I expected considering these cost twice as much as the neckband style headphones that would last me years under much heavier use.
