What i dont likeWhen i placed a search for a zippered protector, This came up on the top! So i mistakingly bought it thinking it was zippered. Well I was surprised when it wasnt.What i know now after having itI bought the queen sized because i have a thicker full mattress that is a little more taller than average. I think the full would have fit as well. I havent tested liquids on it but i dont think it would hold up because theres no plastic in or on it altough it could have a spray materal on it. It did smell strong, like newly pressed, newly purchased clothing that just came out of the wrapping, but very clean, upon opening... after shaking it out and putting it on the mattress i didnt smell anything. After making my bed and leaving the comforter off of it that late afternoon, it went away. I know youre supposed to wash most bedding before but i dont have a dryer and i have a small portable washer, so i forgo washing it before. Im satisfied... but waiting for clumsiness has me spill water by my bedside so i could say how water proof it is. (I had strokes so i hope everyone understands what i wrote)

The item came shrink wrapped in plastic NOT in a typical mattress pad casing. There IS a Serta tag sewn into the pad, but something just seems off about this product. I am not convinced that it is a true Serta product. It is also very noisy and that is a problem. Returning.
