Xipoo Cover Compatible with 2020-2022 Tesla Model Y Cargo Cover Retractable Rear Cargo Shade Replacement for 2020-2022 Tesla Model Y Accessories

This is the second aftermarket cargo cover for my Tesla Model Y that I have tried and greatly superior to the first (just too flimsy, not as easy to install and more expensive).Initially, I had trouble both with installing the rear supports nearest the tailgate - specifically clicking the three prongs onto the car area under the flexible borders on each side was difficult, until I employed a flathead screwdriver to slightly lift the car sheet at which point clicking in was a snap!Then, it seemed that the adhesive on the cargo cover pieces was ineffective. So I actually put the cargo cover into the supports at both ends fully opened - and left it alone. The system is designed to hold the cover and four supports in place. The tailgate area supports are anchored by the click in tabs against the pressure created by fully deploying the cover and inserting the stays into their slots. Similarly, the front supports installed near the seat belts are similarly buttressed against the car sides and more importantly against the pressure on the cover when extended and secured. I reasoned that the spring-loading mechanism would also provide constant pressure on the adhesive holding each of those supports in place.After a day of allowing the adhesive to take full effect and the spring loaded cover, I found the supports had adhered well to the car and the whole installation was secure. OK, I admit that the system reminds me of the flying buttresses and cross barrel vaulting in medieval times which employed the same basic principles of opposing forces - next an essay on the seven basic machines!!The cargo cover is very well made from heavy duty materials, attractive and well finished. The black fabric matched the black interior of my Model Y, and the whole installation appears to be part of the original decor rather than an after-market solution to one of the few minor deficits of the Tesla Y. The handle opening is well sized and the rim heavy duty plastic - so unlikely to break down with use. When deployed, the cargo cover adequately hides from view the items stored underneath. The spring that maintains tension over the entire cover when deployed is fairly stiff, likely favoring stability and rigidity for those who use the cover as a separate, light duty shelf on which to transport items.

Nice construction, nice installation video help. Unfortunately for me does not fit Tesla Y 2023. More likely Tesla change back panels design.I'm giving 1 star because I can not use it even everything looks, design and made nicely

It was stated the lines would be on the plastic to line it up but as you can see in the pictures they don’t have them. Other than that it was a pretty easy install.

The mounts near the seatbelt are easy to apply and the double sided tape seems to be holding. However, the back mounts are a pain to install. Go ahead and order a roll of 3M double sided at the time you order this because you’ll need to replace the adhesive that comes on it. The rear mounts aren’t a perfect fit, struggled to get it in a good spot and it still had a small gap. It’s holding on for now, but not sure how long it is going to last due to the imperfect fit.

For such a simple thing, I'm actually quite happy. If you want a cover for your Model Y, I would recommend this option.
