The arm swing trainer will fix that form issue for sure. You should use it 2 to 3 times a week. Muscle memory is how this product works. It holds the arm in the L shape as you swing the arms. It trains the muscles to remember the proper arm swing from training with the arm swing bands.

Q: Will this work for an 8 year old?

Yes, my son has been running track since he was 6 or 7. He started using the Byrdbands last year.... they're a little big, but still helpful in maintaining his form.
