I have these attached to a wand from another toy so they’re at the end of a string; I bought refills only and not the full toy. The toy flies beautifully, is easy to attach and control. At higher speeds it makes a soft whistling noise which is good for getting attention but the speed is unsafe for play. The propeller slows down quickly though so it would be hard to injure a cat, this is probably safer than other end-of-wand toys for that reason.This toy got my chonky cat up and running around which is awesome because she needs to lose weight. She chases other toys but not as long or as vigorously as she chases this. She follows it up and down the cat wall and around the house so there’s hope for her losing weight yet!She’s a huntress so when catches she secures it in her mouth and carries it to a spot that makes sense to her. This behavior eventually ends up bending or breaking a feather but that’s to be expected, and in fact I’m back to buy more.Chonky cat’s sister (same litter) also goes nuts for this toy; she chases it very aggressively. Even the senior cat (who’s a few years older than the sisters) will go after this toy which is surprising because there are very few toys that all three cats like.Get this toy and play with your cats, just keep in mind that it’s made, in part, of feathers which are fragile. I get a few days to a week out of one propeller which is totally worth it for the fun (and exercise) my cats get from it.

The media could not be loaded. Delivered today and also could not wait for me to take it out of the box! Once out he inspected it and was super happy. I always let him get acquainted with things before I move them or use them to play. Once I knew he liked this I started holding it above him so that he would get his engine going (as you can see in the video). After I finished the video he got more and more interested and excited. He followed me around the house as I was holding this new toy. We played for 20 minutes! And I had to put it away otherwise I would still be there probably 😂. Based on other reviews I made sure that when he “trapped” the bird he would not keep him for too long as I didn’t want him to destroy the feathers. He battled it, chased it, clawed it and the toy remained perfect. Let’s hope it lasts! If any complaints, I will update this review.Also, It has great bounce! I love how the way the feathers spin on their own when I just move the wand and Leo loves it too.

you can actually whip these around and not have them break unlike the cheap ones. buy this its nicer. toy ends do break if your cat actually messes with them but they give you 3 i think and you can always put something else on the end. great little stick. also nice to put inbetween a couch cushion to keep them ocupied for a long time.

My two kittens had hours of fun with this. Absolutely perfect for their over-abundance of energy. It is also much easier to hold onto with a sturdy stable. They did, however, rip the feathers within a couple of hours. I kept using it though as they didn't seem to mind it no longer whirled about and was pretty. I like that it's possible to get other types of refills that secure with a clip. I absolutely recommend with kittens. It is soft for them, and small and not intimidating. Even more extra feather clips would be great, as they tear through them very quickly. But definitely great buy if you have kittens.

I have had many cats and many toys and nothing has come close as to how to my new 4 month old kittens have reacted to this. They went absolutely mad for it! Even while I was attaching the feathers they were starting to jump in anticipation. The second I let it spring forth, they were jumping around like little acrobats.The quality feels fantastic as well. From the wooden handle, to the thick metal cable to the latch that holds the feather ring on, it all seems very well designed by people who know cats and cat lovers.Another very considerate addition is the refills of the feather rings. Again, these people know their cats. “Prey is play” and the feathers certainly seem to appear like prey to my little guys. By the same token however, when they do catch one of them, they are quick to attack and gnaw at it. So far, the first ring has lasted seven 30-minute play sessions, but it’s starting ti get a bit ragged. Thankfully, I have refills ready to go.I’ve already ordered more refills by themselves as this has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt to be my kittens number one toy (and I love using it too!)

Not sure whether to leave 5 stars or 1.. my cat went crazy for this toy, literally insane! We had so much fun playing with it but he was able to tear off the feathers within 10 min and then another 10 min later he tore off the entire toy. I guess that's why it comes with 2 extras 😅

This cat wand is great, but the feathers fall off once played with too much. Our cat loves this wand and took all the feathers off. We put a different toy on the end that has worked better than the feathers. I like that it comes with replacements and that it is designed for a clasp like on a necklace so it can be exchanged. Love the wire and handle part.

She is loving this toy. Her new favorite prey 😍
