This pot is made of stainless steel, & insulated in order to keep soup, gravy, etc., hot after removing it from the stove. Please note that you should fill the pot with boiling water, drain, then add the hot liquid. I asked the seller to be more specific about the size I wanted to order, & I received a very short, curt, answer, indicating that the sizes are plainly described in the product details. I have never experienced such poor customer service from any Amazon partner, but I guess there is a first time for everything. Be aware of the size you order. If you are looking to save a large amount of soup or gravy be sure to choose the appropriate size.

I am very pleased with this hot pot. I use it to keep food hot during dinner. Hot food normally gets pretty cool half way through dinner. I would have to get up from the table and microwave some foods because they were cooled off by the time I wanted a second helping.With this pot, I can have the food at the table during the meal. If I want seconds, I can just remove the lid and the contents are still (almost) as warm as when they were removed from the stove/oven. This works for liquids as well as things like veggies, mac & cheese, even pork chops (the pot is perfect for 3-5 chops depending on thickness). The pot is well made and the handle makes it easy to carry from the kitchen to the dining room table! I really like this pot, it has made some meals (where we are having hot foods) so much easier and people are not getting up and down to go reheat their food.

It doesn't keep hot food warm, like, rotis even for 1 hr

Doesn't do what's expected. Foods cools off within 2 hours. We started to a picnic at around 10.30 with food packed in this hot pot. Opened it at lunch time around 1PM and we were disappointed. It was not even luke warm.

Keep in mind this is not a pot you can cook in. It's meant to simply keep meals hot or cold. We really liked it because the lid "locks" on and you can just carry your pot around by its lid. It has been so convenient for us with all of the meals we've had to cook for church events and stuff. Good size. It can hold quite a bit of food if you buy the 111 oz. It keeps the food warm for several hours (I'd say about 4 hours tops). But cold food can go for up to 6. We will probably get another one soon. Perfect for keeping food for the holiday meals!
