Q: Does this have a headphone jack for wired headphones?

No, there is no headphone jack on the RF750. That's the only downfall with this tiny radio.

Q: What is it made out of... plastic or metal? kind of shock nobody's asked that already?

The case is a simple molded plastic. It cannot tame major shock or use by children. On the other hand, it receives multiband just as advertised. For cost and performance it is a fantastic value for your emergency supplies. I'm planning on obtaining at least 2 more.

AM radio is shown on the radio as MW (medium wave).
