MAGFORMERS Shimmer and Shine Set (42 Piece)

In general, Magformers are awesome. These are no exception. They promote creativity and problem solving.We also have the magnetic Tegu blocks. We love each brand equally, as they're great for different reasons. You can't see the magnets in Tegu blocks, so kids have to problem solve to find where the magnets are, and which blocks will stick together or push apart. Magformers are transparent and you can see the magnets. You can buy larger bases that allow free building of anything you can imagine.This Magformer set has picture cards that add to their interest. The cards fall out easily if they're not snapped inside a Mag square. I think this is a plus because my kids can easily switch them out for different pictures.I really love the play mats that come with this set. They're made from a thick, glossy paper material (think magazine cover). It would be nice if they came laminated and rolled up instead of folded. My kids use the mats like a puzzle. They put all the corresponding pieces on top, and then I help by pulling it up to reveal a cool new creation.

I didn’t expect to have to put together the photos of shimmer and shine into the blocks. It was easy to do but they also come out easily. My 1 year old (who they were not intended for) has figured out how to take them out with ease when her big sister is playing with them.

Love the tiles, lots of extra pieces that the kids don't play with. I won't be buying another set that has more than just the tiles. These are good quality tiles. I bought a cheaper set to go with these and three is a definite difference.

I purchased for my 5 1/2 year old grand daughter for a Christmas gift. She's now 6 and my other grandchild is 3. Both love creating their own designs with magformers. They also add to decorate metal objects around the house - steel door, fridge, lamps, etc. I love seeing them use their creativity!

My 4 year old daughter loves building different things with these adorable magnetic blocks. She can get really creative too.

Bought this for my daughter when she was 2. She loved it. It amazing how she creates figures and makes stories about them. I toy even sticks to refrigerators. Highly recommend this product.

Love these magnets! Bought this & the 96pc set for daughter's birthday & she loves them. Great inserts to help create different things too. The small pack is a great starter kit but highly recommend buying the larger kit or both so you have more building options!

My 3 yr old grandaughter absolutely loves this and spends hours playing with it
