It is impossible to use this to collect colostrum! 1. "sterilized" containers smell like plastic 2. colostrum is more viscous than milk or water, so collecting it from the nipples is very difficult. 3. Be prepared that you will only be able to collect half of the volume.

This is my second baby, due soon. With the first, collecting colostrum in the little purple syringes was quite difficult but this time I was able to quickly fill in the 4 ml Hakaa syringe. I will sterilise and bring a couple of those to the hospital with me!

I used these to collect Colostrum starting at 38 weeks. These are so easy to use, and I appreciated that they could be sterilized and used again in the future. My baby had a brief NICU stay and the nurses loved these for feeding vs a traditional syringe.

This is an Amazing product! I highly recommend to buy it for any expecting mother to collect every drop of your colostrum. I'm almost done with my first 6 bottles and I've ordered another set! Every little for your baby helps 🙂 Advantages: - Flexible material. It allows you to squeeze the neck of the bottle and the bottle itself to make each drop of collected colostrum fall to the bottom of the bottle. If you don't harvest much this feature is a life saver! - Large elipse shaped bottle neck. I would recommend using the wide neck rather than the thin tip to collect colostrum as the drops don't have a regular size and it's easier to collect the drops with the 2 corners of the wide bottle neck. Disadvantage: - the stickers don't stick to the bottle at all and are quite large. I've put my own label instead, which fits on the bottle and then I had to secure it with sticky tape otherwise it doesn't stay on the silicone bottle.
