So sorry, we ordered it but they won’t deliver this product to California. So we never received this item.

Does this product contain any silicone?

No, it does not have silicone in it. It is a penetrant, not a sealant.

What does it smell like?

It has a very strong, paint thinner type smell. In it's pure form it is rather sweet smelling. I use it to mix half and half with Linseed oil to treat dry parched wood before painting or staining it.
