I am not familiar with that application but I use IPA for general cleaning and degreasing and for cleaning brushes that have been used with acrylic emulsion paint. Here's an answer that I found. Isopropanol is effectively rubbing alcohol. Whilst acetone seems more corrosive I think it's better suited for nails. Acetone will eat through almost anything it comes into contact with.
