Perfect for hurricane preparedness kit
My family and I recently survived through hurricane Milton and Helene. We needed good quality flashlights, that would come fast and come with batteries. This did not disappoint. Once the power went off it went off for almost 2 weeks. I am so glad I bought these. I have a little girl and she started screaming when the lights went off. She has never experienced a power outage and panicked when it went pitch black. Before the lights went out I had these loaded on mine and my husbands bedside tables. They are bright without being too bright. I'd use them more for inside. With gators, snakes and spiders I'd want a stronger flashlight for that. I put them back in my hurricane kit for next year. Florida never disappoints for hurricanes. I'm sure we'll be reacquainted soon. Hope this helps!

Need a practical, dependable flashlight in a hurry? This is it! No bells and whistles, just dependable strong light. Small size, light, and easy to keep handy on an end table. Great for walking a dog in the dark. I highly recommend it!

Great for a while, then a couple stopped working, but can be fixed
I bought a few of these Dorcy flashlights about 2 years ago. The brightness level is pretty good. They last a decent amount of time between needing new batteries. They're very lightweight but feel pretty sturdy, rugged. I never tested how waterproof they are or if they really float. But overall I was pleased until recently, when half of them just stopped working completely, even with new batteries. I'm guessing maybe the light bulbs burned out. Which is weird because I only used the flashlights occasionally, and I thought these sorts of bulbs were supposed to have many hundreds of hours of light-up time available, so I was expecting that with only occasional use they'd last for years. As far as I know you can't easily buy bulb replacements for these flashlights. And I can't even be sure that the bulbs are the problem. But if they fail after just a couple of years of occasional use and the failed parts can't be replaced -- overall this flashlight starts to seem like a total waste of plastic. It's a shame, because based on initial usage these seemed like flashlights that'd be good forever as long as you kept feeding them batteries. They've also oddly tripled in price since I originally bought them. At the new pricing, you're better off buying a higher quality light with replaceable and/or longer lasting and/or more reliable bulbs and other components (depending one whatever it is making these fail after a while).UPDATE 1 - 2022:Upon closer inspection, I found that some of the battery contacts on all of Dorcy 55 flashlights I owned had developed a little bit of rust/corrosion. Scraping that away to get back down to bare metal, and stretching out some of the compressed springs, ended up being the fix for every broken unit.UPDATE 2 - 2023:All of the Dorcy Flashlights I own, including the ones I previously fixed via cleaning off a bit of corrosion on the battery contacts over a year ago, are still working great, even after getting played with extensively by my kids and being used during a couple of power outages. These flashlights are turning out to be more rugged than I’d originally thought. Good stuff.

It’s Pink! What else do you need to know?
It is a small but bright LED flashlight. It has some rubber protection to help it survive a fall. Batteries were included. My wife loves it. I suspect that my granddaughter will, too. It is the magic princess color - Pink!
