Q: Does the holder scratch the table?

No not at all. The problem with them is that when the glass sweats water builds up on the coaster, glass sticks to it.as you raise the glass, the coaster sticks to the bottom but doesn’t make it very far before it falls off with a bang! Could be on the table, floor, your lap, etc. a cup: mug doesn’t seem as big a problem as a glass.

Q: Are these really heat-resistant? I have a brand new wooden table and don't want to damage it.

Yes, they are thicker, larger, more absorbent and more heat-resistant than traditional silicone or cork coasters.

Q: Are these coasters dishwasher safe?

I think these coasters are great. If it gets dirty, all I have to do is rinse it with running water. I have never tried them in the dishwasher.

Q: Will these be suitable for car cup holders?

It depends on the width of your car's cup holder.
