The AZO urine test strips are very handy for people with recurring urinary tract infections. A positive result can allow a person to contact a doctor for a prescription for antibiotics. In our case, the doctor prescribed antibiotics to have on hand to start taking when the test strip is positive. When the test strip indicates a possible infection, one can also take a urine sample into the doctor's or to a test lab for confirmation of presence of the kind of bacteria. Urinary tract infections have caused hospitalization for sepsis twice. The test strips give an early warning to start antibiotics and avoid more serious problems.

I can not find this locally anywhere. So, I ordered on Amazon. I ended up testing negative which is a relief, because I thought I had a UTI. The minute clinics and hospitals have been extremely busy. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t positive for leukocytes and nitrates. Make sure you follow the directions/time limits for the test. 2 minutes after wetting for leukocytes and 1 minute for nitrates.Other notes: Horrendous packaging with just the Azo box in a plastic sleeve with zero bubble protection. My Azo box was so busted in the back, the box actually cracked all the way through. Each test stick was ok and sealed in their individual plastic packaging.Azo tests are expensive, but if you think about how busy hospitals are you will get the idea. It’s also extremely convenient to test at home and have some peace of mind. If I would have tested positive I would have went straight to a minute clinic or urgent care. If you are having severe symptoms it’s probably the best idea to go get checked out and treated. You don’t want to mess around with UTI’s.However, I have no regrets buying this Azo test. I’ve used Azo many times and it’s usually very accurate. Stay safe everyone and Happy Holidays.Update: My mom needed a test and it was negative. Then several weeks later my wife thought she had a UTI. She took the test and has a UTI without Nitrates. We are getting the issue resolved by a medical professional.This test kit has been extremely useful in being proactive, despite the higher cost. I feel like I got my money’s worth, because it’s helping other members of my family. It’s good to be proactive about your health. You definitely don’t want to mess around with UTI’s.

I've been using these for the past year as my body has changed and started having more issues with UTIs. I used to work in a clinic and used a variety of UTI testing strips, and from my medical background I can say that these are very similar to the quality and consistency of results as the strips we used in the health clinic.While it only offers two readings (and clinical ones offer four usually) these are enough to indicate if you are suspect for a UTI or not and at least be able to call your MD with more confidence that a UTI is starting or in full effect.I used these after experiencing severe urinary tract pain and it indicated I had a UTI. I ignored it because I wanted to take a second test but by the time I did the second one, it had progressed and I ended up in the ER, YES, with a UTI. So from my experiences over the last year of use (and several boxes later) I find that these are very accurate at picking up signs of a UTI early on before you end up in the ER with a full blown kidney infection.Read the instructions, use a timer, and trust the results. Of course consult your physician if you have one - thankfully most MDs now are more comfortable prescribing a simple course of antibiotics for UTIs than they were 10 years ago, so you should be able to use these tests as "proof" without having to go be seen in person.

The test was easy to use. I use the three days in a row and every day I said the same thing which was that it was an identifiable.

These test strips work great for detecting a UTI. They give me peace of mind and allow me to quickly confirm symptoms before contacting my doctor. I can share the results, and my doctor will either prescribe something or send me for a culture. Super helpful to have on hand!

It works 100%. First test is mine. Second - my husband. I have uti. He is clean. The test shows it all.

Very accurate negative results!

Im confused with the directions. The individual pouch the test comes in is saying the top test pad is leukocytes and the bottom test pad is the nitrite. But the box directions say the opposite. The top is nitrite and the bottom leukocytes. So which is it?
