Waaaaay better than expected!
Holy cow this is way better than I thought it would be! Even the wax too! I used a whole bag of the wax for the more coarse hair and set the machine to 165. It got to 165 pretty quick but the machine didnāt heat all the way up to max then come back down like it did for some other people whose reviews I read. I just manually put it up to max and let it stay on that setting til it was completely melted (took about 10 minutes) then set it back down to 165. Only took about 2 minutes and the wax was usable. I found that the wax is easier to work with for me if I keep it right at 180 degrees. Goes on smoother and glides much better onto your skin from the stick and not as messy, 165 was just a little too cool. Iām also used to the girls at European Wax Center waxing my bikini area and their wax always feels much hotter and leaves me more irritated than this did. So so happy I bought this machine. Itās going to save me hundreds in waxing costs and is less irritating to my skin. ššš

Worth the money
Absolutely worth the purchase. I did my underarms, upper lip, and then bikini area. Worked wonderfully and was significantly less pain than going somewhere to have it done. I liked that each bag was labeled simply so I knew exactly which one to use.I put it on 150 as instructed and waited about 10 minutes for it to heat up. Afterwards, cleanup was a breeze. I turned everything off and you just let the wax cool so it hardens. I then broke it up into small pieces so I could store it back in the bag for ease of use.I have waxed at home before and do not like to use just wax to pull it off. I purchased paper strips for this reason. Not sure if you have to, but I prefer it this way.

Rough shipping but great product!
So box showed up DESTROYED was a little concerned but luckily all worked fine. The wax warmer itself does take a while to both heat up and adjust temperatures. Which to my knowledge is normal but if its your first time using one. Dump the wax in on the max heat and walk away for a bit or sit down. It will take a bit for the wax to melt. If you plan to do your legs, use 2 of rhe small bags the wax will go FAST if you sre doing large areas. Recommend buying additional larger bags of wax, the ones provided. Very small. All together a good deal for the price, love the silicone insert, makes clean up easy. Just let the left over wax dry and pop it right out.

Hurts sooo good š©
Soo...this is my first time waxing anything other than my brows and boy did I think I was tough lol. Just finished my armpits. Took about 15 mins due to me jumping and flinching at the initial pain. But, it was worth it. As a black woman, I aim to lighten the toxic dark pits from terrible deodorants and years of razors. The pain was worth the smoothness and lack of irritation. I'm holding off on the lower parts until I get used to waxing my armpits. All in all, it's a success and I'm here to stay! The hair was a little over 1/4inch. Only thing is, I didn't have the before or after spray and oil but will be purchasing that tonight for the next round. Happy with my first time š

Great Experience!
Iād like to state that I am a novice at waxing. I have a terrible reaction to shaving. No matter the blade, technique, or aftercare product, I seem to always end up with terrible razor bumps that hurt badly. With summer coming up, I decided Iāve had enough and want to feel confident showing my legs again. I did quite a bit of research regarding different products and how to wax properly. I watched lots of videos as well- some helpful and some scary. But I quickly learned the scary ones were truly human error or a lack of practice. Iām hoping that sharing my experience can help another beginner like me!Since I wasnāt sure how my skin would react to waxing, I didnāt want to spend a fortune. But I also wanted to do it right. This was a wonderful deal. The warmer is super cute (I got the pink one), and itās small enough to fit on my bathroom shelf. Itās also not an eye sore and I donāt feel the need to hide it somewhere. Shipping was fast and everything was exactly as described. The manual was very helpful, although I do think it would have touched more on how to operate the actual warmer. However, it ended up not being an issue because itās easy-peasy. After plugging in and pouring your wax beads, you simply turn the dial to the temp youād like. 155-160 was perfect for me. The manual does address this, but you must remember that the warmer is going to reach its max temp in order to fully melt the wax (240 something- extremely hot!) The digital reader will rise and then fall back down to your set temp. Thereās also a red/green light to let you know when itās ready (it took about a total of 10-15 minutes.) Test a small amount on your inner wrist before diving into it. This will give you an idea of how it will feel and if the consistency is correct. I feel that it needs to be a bit thicker than honey⦠more like condensed milk. There is definitely a learning curve to this whole process. Holding horizontally and twisting the stick is your best friend. This helps to create a bulb at the end of the stick. I recommend also using an up and down motion as you twist, similar to a handshake, to separate any strings hanging onto the bulb. If there is any dripping, the wax is way too hot, but this should not happen if you keep it between 155-160. I started on my leg and the technique wasnāt hard to learn, but I was getting sad when I wasnāt picking up much hair. I took a break from that and tried my armpit. This is where I learned a lot. Because my armpits are more sensitive than my legs, and I was anxious about the pain, I peeled the wax much sooner than I was before. It ripped out every hair. And I mean ALL of it. And the pain was so minimal, it took me all of 2 minutes to finish both armpits. The directions say to peel after 30-45 seconds, but this was too long and was making the wax un-stick to my hair. I found more success in waiting about 10 seconds, and so the rest of the waxing was smooth sailing.Iām sure it can be different for people with other hair types and directions of growth, but I think patience and practice is key. I let my coarser hairs grow a bit longer than a grain of rice (which was an annoying 3 weeks, but itās worth it!) My hairs grow at different speeds and thickness, so I can feel some of the small, finer hairs still. But I know waxing has to be done multiple times before itās uniform and/or stops growing. You can always tweeze anything noticeable leftover. Overall, I am so satisfied and impressed with this purchase and couldnāt recommend it enough, especially for someone wanting to learn how. It's been 24 hours and normally Iād be covered in painful bumps, but my skin is silky smooth and clear! I love that they also sell Kotamu wax beads separately so that you can keep using the brand if you adore it like I did!

Doesn't hurt too bad it didn't pull very much hair
I'm giving this product 3 stars due to the small amount of hair that the wax took off. It was a bit messy for me as a beginner also no clear instructions. I didn't know what the little pot on the inside was for, I didn't know when to put the platic top on, and it doesn't state that you may need additional items in order to wax (like the before, during and after treatment which luckily I thought to preorder before trying the product). Overall I give it a 3 due to it not being painful when I did use it. I thought the QR code included was a how to video š¤¦āāļø instead I got a link to their amazon store š
