Popeye 5 Points Actionfigur Deluxe Box Set

I love the nostalgia and gritty Fliecher feel to this kit. I can almost hear the characters talking in mumbles as I hold it. Truth is though I haven't opened it so can't say anything about the figures. A cardboard diorama won't hold up long and I don't want to loose any parts. However looking at the prices of other Popeye figures this is a very good deal if you're just looking for some nostalgia

I'm rather surprised at some of the negative reviews for this set here on Amazon. Nearly every reviewer on Youtube likes them very much, and I must say I agree. Each figure is well executed and looks as though he or she stepped right out of the Segar Popeye strips. As I prefer the clenched fist arms anyway, I haven't tried to switch out the arms, but those of you who wish to do so might think about soaking the armatures in hot water before switching things out; that should prevent any breakages as reported by some customers. The figures themselves feel quite robust. It's also worth noting that Mezco is apparently releasing another set at the end of this year or early 2023. This next set will be of Popeye and a boxer named Oxheart with a cardboard boxing ring. It looks most promising! I hope they continue with the series and give us Wimpy (please!), the sea hag, Alice the Goon and other notables from the Popeye world.

Both arms broke the first day, this plastic is the worst quality. Don't waste your money.

Great setup and diorama

Fun product but the plastic pieces are very fragile. Quality should be improved.

I am so sad, I waited and saved to purchase this as Popeye was one of my favorites growing up. I get open it and I'm so happy as it looks amazing all the characters that came with it, the little cardboard cut outs for back ground, and the different options for limbs on some of the figures. Well I didn't like the arms that came pre attached on Popeye, so I go to change to another option. First arm I try removing breaks the little pin thingy that holds the arm in place. Immediate sadness flushes over me and disappointment. I put everything in my glass display cabinet and haven't touched em since. They are still very nice and some day I will fix it with gorilla glue, but until then...

Great build on those characters and wonderful diorama they come with quality was better then I hoped for.
