Well made and good rebound surface. Would recommend.

Bass Drum Practice Pad
I love this I can use my double bass pedal on it too. The feel is a bit less rebound than my Aquarian superkick 2 drumhead so really helps when I switch back to the real drumhead.

extremely Solid Piece of Gear - only wish it came with velcro tape
Arrived in a fairly flat box which speaks to it's portablity. A few items rattled around the bottom of the box but they were all there. Seems to be extremely well made. Sturdy as a tank. I was concerned from the photos that the striker plate and pad were not vertical and would cause my pedal to overextend but when put together (no instructions but it is fairly easy to figure out), there is no problem. The sound isn't silent but it's mostly the thud of the pad and a little squeaking from the whole device. When wearing headphones, it seems louder than it actually is because of the 'haptic' feel it sends up your leg which is very similar to an actual bass drum. The only downside which I took one star off for was that it doesn't include any velcro tape on the bottom to hold it in place. Just two spring loaded threaded spurs. My drum pedal comes with the tape pre-applied and makes it very stable against the carpet. I'll buy some velcro strips for this bad-boy and it'll be a solid 5 star piece of gear. Pros: Very Solid Well made Portable Replaceable Beater Pads Cons: Doesn't come with Velcro strips. - A Cheap fix

Only one like it
There are many nice pads on the market and I own about 10 which all vary in style, some more similar to others than not but this pad is something special and one that no other pad has been able to replicate. The soft and responsive gum rubber top playing surface is truly unique in feel, rebound and texture… it’s porous, which helps keep your stick locked in to its rudiment and helps build conditioning and proper technique. The sound level is perfect, it’s quite but not too quite, it has a pleasant sound. The underside of the two-sided pad is made up of a recycled material that keeps the pad locked in place but also feels good to play on but it’s harder and louder, less rebound. The underside of the one sided pad has a thin foam strip that lines the edges to keep the pad in place but if you can splurge the extra few dollars go for the two-sided… it’s just a better pad. The pad is light enough to stuff in a backpack for easy transportation, thin enough to store in between school books, and durable enough to last years of abuse. All in all, I love this pad. It’s truly something else and I guess it’s the “industry standard” for a reason.

The Perfect Accessory For Your Portable Practice Drum Kit.
The Evans ReelFeel Folding Bass Pedal Kick Drum practice pad is excellent. Although you have to take the time and care to insure that it perfectly comports with your kick drum pedal, once you’ve tweaked it into place it’s excellent. I use it with a “Tama Dyna-Sync Twin Pedal” and a (customized) “DW Go Anywhere Practice kit” including a “Evans ReelFeel” 12” practice snare pad, “DW 9000” series Hi-Hat and three “Yamaha” single brace cymbal stands with Evans SoundOff Hi-Hat and cymbal muting pads.

Lacks Essential Adjustability
Sturdy but there is an engineering flaw in its design. There is no way to adjust the supporting elements of the pad to accommodate players who want their beater and beater rod to be perpendicular to the floor upon contact with the bass drum pad. Recommend adding slots to the bracket that the bass drum pedal clamps on to allow for adjusting the distance of the beater from the pad.

Works in a pinch or if you don’t mind having very little adjustments available
This is a basic standard kick drum practice pad. It does not have options for adjustments other than the height of the anchors. You will have to raise your beater if you keep it on the lower side as there is no way to adjust the height of the pad. As far as stability I have not tested on hard flooring or with a light rug on hard floor, but I have tested on thick carpet. It is always hard to get food stability on thick soft carpet with any type of pedal, however with anchors I can usually prevent it from sliding forward. However, because this lacks in weight, even with anchors on the practice pad AND the drum pedal set into the carpet deeply, this product still move forward significantly on me. In regards to volume; This pad is firm rubber with a fabric outer. It does feel good under the foot however it does make a fair amount of sound. That sounds is not really loud enough to disturb others, what I found is that it is the sound of your foot hitting down on the pedal and the vibrations of it going into the floor that are disruptive. There is really now way around this in many situations, and I don’t necessarily believe that is a fault of the product itself as any pedal and pd system is likely to suffer from this problem. That being said, if these are not issues for you and you don’t mind a little moving around with your practice pad, this is reasonably priced and will do pretty much what you need it to do.

No pedal
I’m new to drumming, and bought the 12” practice pad, and this with a pair of sticks under the impression this came with a pedal due to the picture. I believed “single, and double pedal” meant you could swap out the included pedal. Old drummers might know this but new drummers definitely would not since nothing explicitly states a pedal is not included. I’m not upset, just disappointed, and while the practice pad seems sturdy, and well made, it’s not what I expected. If you’re buying this then budget for a pedal, or bring your own - learn from my mistake. :)

Was a bit sceptical but it exceeded my expectation, great for practicing double bass

Fantastic tool for a drummer.. my right leg went from being clumsy and heavy to super smooth and decently fast. Dw 5000 fits no problem and there’s not much noise at all.
