Water
This product has made my life easier, I saved on water purchases, it is durable, works very well and filters the water very well, the water does not have a bad taste because the filter it comes with is capable of removing all impurities from the water.

Filters just about everything.
This replaced our 10 year old PUR unit that didn't survive a drop to the floor (no surprise). Our water district adds a very noticeable amount of chlorine on a monthly basis and the smell is very strong when they do. There is absolutely no taste of chlorine in the water that has gone through the PUR when this happens. The PUR filters are easy to change and no more expensive than any of the other brands that are available

Great product.
Great product, using it at home & at work for about 5 years. After 5 years of use decided to replace with a new one. There was a problem with filter replacement counter on the new one & I found out a month after purchase. After contacting PUR, explaining the issue & sending proof of purchase ( Amazon invoice), they sent me a brand new pitcher.Great customer service!👍

PUR reality
The Filter Indecator: didn't work right out of the box but it's not really necessary as one can just look at a filter to see when it needs changing.Pitcher: It's plastic. Plastic degrades. It will crack after a few years. Even though it is dishwasher safe, I don't recommend constantly heating it in one then putting water right into it to filter. Wash it by hand; prolong its life. For those who complain about the pitcher's weight.... uhhhh yeah, you are literally adding water to an empty container soooooo.... Admittingly though, it can be clunky for people with low sinks and weak/injured wrists - try a faucet filter instead.Pour spout: I agree with the reviewers about the poor spout design change. Why on Earth is there a double dip now?! Unless your pour is angled just right, you can expect water to leak. every. time. For those who complain about the pitcher weight, you'll be even more ticked with this factor.Lid: The circle part (where you put the water through) didn't come with nubs to hold this part on / in. As in it was made incorrectly and the packer blatently sat a lid in, taped it on so I wouldn't notice the defect until the tape was off, and let it go out the door. Shame on you packer person!I think of PUR water filters like printers. The pitcher is cheap (when great deals hit) - you get what you pay for. It's the filters that bite you in the end. For those that have water meters to justify the water is worse after filtering - perhaps tell someone other than Amazon reviewers/buyers b/c that is quiet a claim that needs to go public. For those saying it doesn't take out enough - PUR doesn't claim to take out everything; nothing can. I don't have a meter but my water tastes better filtered. I've haven't gotten sick with the filters yet.Filter life - This depends on your water quality. Sometimes filters last for months, sometimes mere weeks. It's not a filter issue, it's a water issue (although one offs exist yes). The filter price alone makes this point more frustrating than the poor lid design. Alas, PUR is a business that banks on water plants/infrastructure ..... and banks on them wearing out fast like ink for printers......Filling - TIP: STOP filling it so much that it remains in the top non-filtered part! YOU are the problem, not the pitcher. YOU cannot fill something more than it will allow you to. Go up to the top of where the filtered water sits (= about 2 pre filtered fills). Simple physics! Also, learn exactly what 11 cups means. Fill a bowl at home and see if that is enough to quench a family's thirst and see how often you have to replenish it..... Please stop making this overlook a PUR problem/issue in your reviews; it's you not reading nor knowing. I get it though, busy lives and all.All-in-all: I'll keep buying PUR pitchers until the lid and pitcher degrading get so bad that it's not even worth it. I do appreciate, the amount it saves me from having to buy water. Kinda. Sorta. Sorry, your filters are ridiculously priced but that is a me issue.

The crystal clear choice in water pitchers
Nice water pitcher! Feels substantial. And I like that the handle is attached both top and bottom (my last pitcher was only attached at the top and that's where it broke).Others who said the water filters slowly are accurate. It seems to be a slow process with this filter type. Doesn't really bother me though since the pitcher holds a lot of filtered water. So long as you refill the top half before the bottom runs dry the slow drip won't be relevantFiltered water quality and taste is very good. About on par with the BWT brand I had previously. All told I'd say this is hard to beat for the price.

Formerly quality product now poorly engineered—AVOID
So disappointing. I have a PUR 11-cup pitcher that developed a crack. Bought this newer model. The company apparently abandoned any idea of quality. The lid to the part where you pour water in does not stay seated. The cheapest cheap out plastic with these tiny little protrusions of plastic on the end that will not stay in place. The thing falls off when you pull it backward to put water in. Or falls into the top part of the pitcher. The spout is poorly engineered. Gets water all over the place. Many of us these days pour water into glass water bottles. This pitcher is now useless for that unless your water bottle has a mouth like a Mason jar. This is extremely annoying because I’ll have to return this and figure out another to get.Returning this will take time and money to go somewhere to deliver it. And what a shame. Company just sped downhill with abandon.I’ll try to find the old model that isn’t a piece of trash like this one.

Love PUR and it’s great if you have issues with faucet water
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I already had an 11 cup PUR pitcher that I keep in the refrigerator for purifying the faucet water for drinking. It’s terrible in our area. This 7 cup is for my dog’s water to purify and I keep it at room temperature. I’ve used Brita, but PUR just tastes better. Definitely recommend this.

Nice pitcher
Love the design, makes the water taste great, and was a good price. So far, filter life has been good and has been a durable pitcher.
