I didn't know prior to purchasing this model that Dewalt has many versions of this 1/4" screw gun. I choose the "Atomic" for having the shortest nose to get into tight places. It all comes with a Dewalt soft carry bag. No surprises!

Great impact driver I would highly recommend especially for DIY and light contract work. The versatility of this impact driver is excellent. Enough power to do most small to medium jobs. And some large jobs if you're not going to overuse the tool. Great investment I would recommend it it seems like this impact driver will last for years to come. Battery life for mile to moderate uses excellent.

This driver has three speed settings. When we attempted to drive a screw in speed setting #1 the unit failed to operate. We reviewed the owner's manual which made no mention of this condition and as such made the decision to return the supposed defective item for replacement. The supplier was very responsive and helpful, and the new unit arrived in short order. Unfortunately, the replacement exhibited the same issue. We then discovered a small, inconspicuous symbol just above speed setting #1 in the shape of a drill bit or small wood screw and came to the conclusion that this speed setting is for light drilling operations or the driving of very small screws only. It seems to work in this light application. The other two speed setting work well for much larger fasteners. It might be helpful id Dewalt would make some mention of this in the supplied operators manual. Otherwise, a very good tool thus far.

It's very powerful for it's size. It has 3 speed settings so you don't accidently over torque/countersink/break the screw or whatever your application is. It's built solid, has good weight distribution, it's comfortable to hold. I used it for the first time to drive some screws through blocks of wood to make a window stop for a window in my apartment. It drove through the pre drilled wood in a heartbeat and busted right threw into the aluminum window frame with a non self-tapping screw! It does get very hot with extended use (over a minute non-stop). I can't comment on the battery life yet as I haven't used it enough. For the price it's a bargain!

This thing yolks! Superior torque in 2/3 power than my Masterforce driver had at full blast. Also, I’ve been using the thing plenty 4-6 weeks and I still haven’t had to charge the battery out of the box. I am now a DeWalt fan! Had to try because of the DeWalt sawzall talking a lap under a racecar in NASCAR and it still worked fine! I’m impressed.

Desde que ví algunas imágenes de este atornillador me gustó por lo compacto, por meses estuve esperando que lo vendieran solo la herramienta ya que tengo baterías y cargadores de la marca, hasta que por el precio y la batería de 5 amperes me animé a comprarlo, no me arrepiento, lo uso para carpinteria en nivel 2 casi siempre, la fuerza es muy buena y el tamaño es perfecto, lo recomiendo, llegó unos días antes de lo planeado.

The battery is tremendous and the compact power of this tool is great. The lights on this model are nice and bright, the power is amazing, and the control for lower speeds and small fasteners makes this my go to driver now. Just lightly feather the speed with smaller fasteners like any other impact driver and your golden. Worked great on my fence build and new Keter resin outdoor shed. Combined this with a great set of Dewalt impact bits and I have no complaints. Just need to pair this up with a newer drill on the latest battery style for my next purchase as I can’t go back to my old weak batteries after using this.
