Saw These on Escape to the Country (BBC)
Parsons Cockles were featured on the tv show Escape to the Country (BBC/Brit Box/Amazon), so I ordered as I had never had them before. They came today intact and double bubble wrapped. Really tasty and the brine is what makes them shine. Would buy again.Really see them in something like a clam dip, salads, and I think they suggested to fry them up with some bacon for breakfast on the show. Trying that soon!

These are the best Pickled cockles ! I grew up with these back in Belfast and I love I can get them on Amazon. Parsons is the only brand I would buy.

Arrives tampered with!
The media could not be loaded. These arrived bubbled wrapped and one of the jars the lid was loose and the tamper button was raised. So this was sent tampered with and could of given me food poisoning, this is not acceptable and dangerous.

Whoa! Now that's pickled.
Pickling is so strong I really can't tell you what the taste is other that pickling juice. So strong it made my nose spasm. I can't eat them, so I guess that is a loss.

Unique Taste
I love the "Matiz Gallego Berberechos - Cockles in Brine" product, so I figured I'd give these a shot too. While these don't taste exactly like the Matiz Gallego cockles, they are close. They are pickled, not just packed in salt water, so their taste is a bit more rich. I can't sit down and eat the entire jar in one sitting, but that's not to say I don't like them. I think it tastes great, I just have to go a bit slower when eating them. Also, I do get a bit of grit every so often while eating them, which is a slight downfall but nothing major.

Saw it on a TV Show and decided to try it
I saw this on the Brit TV show Escape to the Country and decided to order a bottle. I enjoyed the first one so much, I ordered two. Highly recommended.

A Welsh tradition
Absolutely delicious. A perfect addition to salads, fish & chips, a cracker or straight from the jar. It's not for everyone, that's for sure; but if you like traditional UK & Irish flavors, you'll love Parsons.

Pickled Cockles
You probably have to be from the UK to want to eat these. (a type of clams in vinegar)But as I am, I think they are great!! But then again I think English meat pies are a delicacy as well!Any one fancy a Jellied eel or two?
