do they stain clothing?

Yes they shed...and the process they use to make velvet hangers is not healthy. Google it. They have to blow the velvet onto the hangers. Not only do they shed on your hands, but they shed microscopically on the inside shoulders of your clothes. Ever wonder why your shoulders itch??? Take a lint roller and roll your shoulders and you will find that the velvet sticks into your skin. I had such a bad reaction either from the dye, the adhesive used or formaldehyde of with I'm allergic.

Do these hangers shed?

No. If you follow the directions and rinse them in cold water before you use them, they don't. I have hundreds of them and have had any stain or shed.

Does the velvet on these hangers shed?

I have not had any shedding with these cream colored velvet hangers, and I put some clothes on straight from the washer.

Someone wrote that they did not swivel. Do they or not?

Yes these hangers do in fact swivel. Sometimes the hanger's hooks are stiff and require slight pressure to break free the hook to allow them to swivel freely. This is due to the hooks being glued by the manufacturer to keep them from breaking in transit.

Awesome hangers!

These hangers are great! They're thin, the covering holds your clothes so that they don't slip off the hanger, and the ends are sloped so that you don't get those weird shapes on the shoulders of your clothes. Definitely recommend and will buy again.

I decided to buy these because I wanted to hang some of my sleeveless tops in my color coordinated closet with a brighter hanger so I could find them easier as my closet is quite over stuffed. They were on a good deal so I purchased them. They are very pretty and the hanger Cook turns very easily, which is great. The clothes stay on the hanger and they are slim though I can hang a lot of clothes in a small amount of room with these hangers. . Best of all, they were on sale so I got them.!
