Strong - Healthy - Happy
Royal Canine has been the staple diet for our german shepherds. Our newest addition is following the same diet routine of our other german shepherds when they were puppies. All of them absolutely love this food! For the first year, we start with both dry and wet food for puppies for 12 months, then switch to the Royal Canine adult formula. All of our shepherds absolutely love this food! We believe this breed specific dog food has contributed to having happy, strong, and beautiful dogs, Shiny coat, bright eyes, sharp mind and full of energy. Having a healthy family dog, more than makes up for the cost with fewer trips to the veterinarian and stomach issues. Great food!

Our GS puppy is finally eating!
My wife and I recently took in a new pure bred German Shepherd puppy. We made a large investment on him and love him dearly and we were worried when he wasn't eating the food that the pet store recommended.I contacted the pet store and they told me to just keep feeding him their store brand food and he'll eventually eat it because he'll realize that he'll either have to eat it or starve! I was shocked. They just want you to keep buying their food.German Shepherds are an extremely smart breed. If they don't like the food you are feeding them they will eat just enough not to starve and you will end up with a very skinny dog.We decided on the Royal Canine GS puppy brand after our vet appointment where the vet let Jaxon (that's our puppy's name) try several different brands and one of those was Royal Canine but not the GS one. He seemed to like it better than the rest. We found the GS version of Royal Canine on Amazon and gambled by purchasing it before knowing if he would really like it but we wanted the best for our new puppy.I'm very pleased to say that Jaxon absolutely LOVES this food. With the old food he would eat only a few bites. With this food he eats almost the entire cup and a half plus the 3rd of a can of canned food that we give him at chow time. I'm glad to say that we have peace of mind now, knowing Jaxon will grow to be a healthy, thick dog. I will update this review if anything changes but as of right now this food is awesome. Highly recommended.

Best German Shepard food.
Having a puppy Shepard I had to do some research for it. This has been by far the best food and I mean my pup goes bonkers as I prepare it. he has gotten better taming himself now but seen how excited he gets at every bite is a good thing I compare the ingredients to health extensions as it was recommended when he was a puppy which wasn’t doing the same affect he would be hungry after too. This also gave him a growth spurt 🥴 but he is happy both digestive and appealing coating is shinny wise before we would do vitamins and this is all in one. must have for your German puppy also I can’t say as far as pricing since I barely can find in stores only online thus far chewwy.com has it but is not by far different in price. Happy healthy pup is reviewing this as the best food :).

Yummy yummy.
Our dog, Cartman, really loves this stuff. He used to be on Canidae (all life stages). He had tummy issues and regularly had bad diarrhea. It broke our hearts; he looked miserable on his old food. He didn't even like to eat it. We'd have to coax him to eat some, and there was always a significant amount left in the bowl. From the moment we opened the package, he seemed really into it. He eats all of his food, and even likes the occasional nugget or two as a treat. He leaves his bowl empty, and yes--wonderful solid poops (after so much diarrhea, they certainly were pretty wonderful). It is pricey, though. The Canidae was significantly less. When he gets out of the puppy stage, we'll probably move him to Costco's Kirkland brand dog food--which is even higher-rated at Dog Food Advisor.

My Pup loves it!!
We had been feeding our pup another premium brand of large breed puppy chow. Though early on when we first got him he would eat without a problem at times he would leave some and maybe eat it later. He finally reached a point where he became very picky, and to get him to eat we had to mix canned food with the dry. He was having some tummy problems and our vet suggested the Royal Canin. We figured we would give it a shot, none of our local pet stores carry the puppy chow so we ordered from Amazon. It arrived and we gradually switched him over, you could tell right from the start he liked it ALOT. Once we had him fully switched over to the Royal Canin there were no more tummy problems (nice solid stools) and he absolutely LOVES this dogfood! It has been a month now and when feeding time rolls around he starts getting excited, and is very enthusiastic about the meal, once he starts eating he doesn't stop and it's gone in no time! He looks good, has lots of energy. Oh, and no more smelly canned food to deal with :).
