These don't move a lot of air, but they truly are silent. The small amount of air that they do move is more than enough for most nano-aquariums, where the depth isn't so much that it requires more pressure to push that water out of the way. I ended up buying another one of these after realizing how amazingly quiet they are. They've both been running 24x7 for several months now without missing a beat.Highly recommended for small tanks.

This product works great for my 6 gallon aquarium and i almost never hear it. The price is great and the set up is really easy. The only bad thing i have to say about this air pump is that the suction cup doesn’t work too well but other than that i would definitely recommend checking it out.

Picked this item for a 5g tank because it specified up to 10g. The English instructions were laughable but it’s a common sense install. Figured out which direction the stop valve flowed by blowing through it both directions, then installed it on the line so air would pass through to the aquarium but water couldn’t come back to the pump. This is truly the smallest & quietest air pump I’ve seen or owned. The bubbles in the aquarium are louder than the pump. Would purchase again!

Actually quiet. I am very sensitive to the sounds of motors/pumps/etc, and I like for my aquarium to be as quiet as possible. This one is nearly silent, honestly. I tried another, lower cost pump from Amazon and it was so loud. This one is great quality for the money. It pumps out a good amount of air, doesn't use too much power, is quiet. I also love that it comes with a suction cup to attach it to the side of your tank. It's the little things that make a difference, and this pump definitely delivers. I only have mini tanks (5.5 gallons max), so this mini pump is all I need and it's the only brand I will get now

Amazing value, way stronger and higher quality than I was expecting for the price.The only air pump that seems powerful enough with fast speedy bubbles and a great performance while still being silent!

We bought this little pump hoping it would reduce the pump noise for our 10 gallon shrimp aquarium and it is pretty amazing. It is very quiet. All you really hear are the bubbles it produces in the tank. The suction cup mount holds it nicely to the back of the tank and it pushes a good amount of air. The only negative you might find is that the cord is relatively short, so if your outlet is a bit away from your tank, you'll need to use an extension cord or power strip. I'm going to buy a second one soon to replace another little noisy pump. Highly recommend this one.
