SOONSUN Thumb Screw Bolt Kit Replacement with WiFi Remote Clamp Mount Holder and Wrist Strap for GoPro 3-Way Grip Arm Tripod

My original screws broke off from tightening then too hard. These are a perfect fit and more durable then the original ones that I had.

I mainly purchased this to attach my GoPro remote to my GoPro 3-Way. It works and works well for attaching my remote to the handle. You can adjust it up or down to your liking and holds the remote tightly. I was never afraid the remote was going to become unattached. However, I have two observations that did cause a little bit of a headache. First since it does attach tightly (it screws together) it is not easy to remove the remote to charge it at the end of the day. This isn't a flaw of the attachment because the quick release is on the back of the GoPro remote, simply an observation I had not thought about. I used to velcro my remote on and would have to remove the velcro to get the remote off as well. This just takes longer because you have to unscrew the attachment. Don't worry, it comes with 2 extra screws incase one falls and gets lost. I would take the security over a less secure way to attach. Second is that the back (opposite of where it attaches to the remote) is rounded and sticks out a bit. This causes the 3-Way to not fold completely together. Instead of sitting completely flat together, the last bend stick up at a slight angle. Is this a deal breaker, not for me, but I can see people bugged by this. Especially if you carry it in your pocket. Yes, my flaws are take up much of this review, but that is because it works as advertised and works well. I do think it would be 5-stars if the back side was made flat like the front to so the 3-Way could collapse flat, but still a good investment if you have a remote.

First pack received didn't come with the thumb screws. Sent it back for an exchange and the 2nd time around had all the screws including the impossible to find go pro 3 way thumb screws. Both initial shipment and exchanged happened in a timely manner, Would recommend.

On a recent trip the screw on my three way arm fell out and was lost. I ordered this to get the unit back to functional instead of buying a whole new three way arm. The packages contain all the parts need to get your three way rebuilt in a pinch if you lose a screw. The fit was a little tight and has threads along the whole way which I am concerned will continue to open the mounting holes over time. See the attached photo comparing the stock GoPro screw. I acquired official GoPro parts on return from the trip because the arm was under warranty. I’ll keep these screws as a back up for future trips. Having back up for these screws is a must have since using the arm loosens the screws and they can get lost easily. I have not tried the remote attachment so I can’t comment on it’s functionality.

Finally I found a kit that included the large thumb screw I needed for my Go-PRO 3 way camera mount. Fit perfectly and came on time.

This is a review for the thumb screw to attach the remote on the GoPro (apparently a lot of these reviews are mixed). What’s in the box? It arrived in a box with the thumb bolt kit, which is pictured. One piece attaches inside the remote (similar to charger that comes with the remote), and the other piece is an anchor piece. Also inside the box are a few bolts that can be used to attach your GoPro to any attachment. And finally it came with an Allen wrench with two screws for the thumb bolt. Setup: Really easy. You insert one piece inside of the remote and then anchor the other piece with the screws onto the “selfie stick.” Access: This is the main issue I can see with this bolt kit. When you insert the kit inside of the remote, remember it locks. Well, whenever you attach this bolt kit onto a selfie stick, it blocks access to the unlock button. This means you have to find a small object to wiggle behind your remote or you have to unscrew the entire kit. Overall, I enjoy this kit because I can attach my remote to my GoPro and can enjoy not losing my stuff. I don’t like that it is so difficult to remove my remote from the housing.
