The adhesive base and ball-joint design allow you to stick Action 2 to surfaces at different angles to gain unique vantage points. Remove the adhesive base, and attach tripods, extension rods, or other third-party accessories via the 1/4" screw hole.

Awesome mount that sticks to ANY clean, smooth surface
This mount works with the DJI Action 2, 3, and 4 camera and is awesome. The mount is not exactly "magnetic" in that it does NOT rely on magnetism, rather, it uses a reusable adhesive surface to stick to any clean, nonporous, surface. The beauty of this is the mount can stick to plastic, aluminum, painted surfaces, finished wood cabinets, glass, and of course regular magnetic metals. It's awesome. What's more the ball screws out of the base giving you even more flexibility. This mount punches waaaay above it's weight.

False Advertising at best
I'm not sure who at DJI designed this product but not including any magnets in the "Magnetic Ball Adapter Mount" seems like false advertising at best and completely kills the functionality of the product.To be clear, this only uses an adhesive that will just get dirt and crap stuck to it and fail within 10 uses to stick to things, like that $2 dash pad you see at gas stations. So its a $37 adapter that's not gonna last for more than 5 or 10 uses before its basically useless.

Not a Solid Connection
Not DJI Brand at all. The magnetic connection has a lot of wiggle and can be popped loose unlike official magnetic connectors/adapters. I'd use it on a tripod only, but on nothing where there is any movement. Going to spend the extra $$ and get a DJI ball connector.

Overpriced and not all that.
I bought this separately as the Dji tripod says it’s required (it’s not, any GoPro tripod mount will do) and otherwise it’s an overpriced, over marketed, pretty useless proprietary adapter. This whole line of DJI Action Cam 2 and their bundles and accessories are the lowest grade of technology I’ve found in the action camera market.
