Well built, sharp, everything I needed.

I cook a lot- daily - and a lot of my recipes use lemon zest. I've been using a box grater until a friend told me about this brand and this contraption. Technically I didn't need this, or so I thought. But... OMG - in 2 seconds you can zest a lemon and not get any of the pith - like in the box grater. The only thing is that the sleeve is kind of difficult to get back on and cleaning it is a bit difficult as you have to be careful not to shred your sponge.

I bake - a lot. Previously, I have always used a regular grater to zest citrus for my baking. It was uncomfortable, difficult and didn't produce much zest for the effort expended. So I finally bought a dedicated zester, hoping it would be easier.And it is SO MUCH EASIER! Really, if you need or want to use fresh zest, you absolutely need one of these. It is easy to use, so very easy to clean and stores well in the protective sleeve.

I have used this for Zesting Lemons. It is a pleasure to use. Sharp and zests easily. Very precise, as you can zest right to the fruit without piercing into the lemon. If you've been zesting with a grater, you'll love switching to this. SUPPORT AMERICANS WORKING IN AMERICA!

This zester is perfect! Easily removes the zest without pith. I've tried other zesters (including another from Amazon that was highly rated) but invariably they ripped and tore the fruit hacking off the pith. I just got this one today and had to try it out right away. It is amazing - easily removed the zest with no pith - great addition to my kitchen.

Not sure how sharp these things are supposed to be though, and if certain foods (parmesan) will dull the blade for others (garlic, lemon rind), because it seems like it's already a little dull (separate issue from the prongs bending)
