This is THE correct tool for this job. Buy it.
DO NOT attempt to remove oxygen sensors with an open end wrench; you WILL round off the corners of the hex and then you're screwed. This is the correct tool; it is heavy, thick-walled high-quality steel with a notch for the wire to go through so you can remove and install the sensors without damage. Nearly all O2 sensors on modern vehicles are this size.To make it easier spray a bit of PB Blaster (yes, it will smoke) on the thread area where the sensor meets the boss before or after the Cat, start the engine and let it run for a couple minutes. The heat makes a BIG difference. Just be careful to not get up against the pipe or cat and burn yourself as obviously the exhaust will be nice and toasty after you do that. A 3/8" breaker bar is the correct thing to use with it and the offset notch means you can get in tight places and get the angle you need. You only need to break it free and then you can disconnect the wire and spin it right out.

Fits well
I've used it a few times and I must say it's quite a handy tool to have in your arsenal whether you're a DIYer or mechanic

Nice.
I’ve bought a lot of Tekton sockets and even a torque wrench over the years and they all impress. Solid tools for a great price. This one has a nice wide slot that’s wider than their 3/8 O2 socket so if you need that for larger wires/cables this is perfect. This type makes getting certain sensors off easier. I don’t use it everyday, but I have no reason to think it couldn’t function just fine in a professional shop.

Worked great with one minor modification
Got this to change out my O2 sensor that was really stuck. When I first tried it the socket wanted to spread apart and slip on the sensor. I took a band clamp and tightened it around the socket after placing it over the sensor. This keeps the the socket from spreading at the cut out. Overall great tool. Tekton makes quality stuff and a great price.

Great for O2 sensor removal if fits in
It works great if it fits in.2012 Honda Civic L1.8 upstream sensor has a heat shield. A thin wall O2 sensor remover is needed. Tekton offset remover DOES NOT fit in. It fits the downstream O2 sensor. Easy to unlock the sensor, especially in a tight space. The normal O2 sensor remover is too long and hard to operate within the tight space. However, need a tapping to lossen the remover from the sensor after the unlock.Overall, it works as it is. Will keep it for other O2 sensor removal.
