A go-to bath toy for our toddler
Our son (18M) is super picky on bath toys, many of them are boring to him but a constant winner is this submarine. He loves pouring the water out, and we use it to help rinse him off too. It is very durable - it has been thrown out of the tub pretty much every night and it is still doing very well - no scratches, dents, or marks on it! The colors are bright and cheerful, and it was such a great price.

Large Durable Submarine That Floats. Makes Fantastic Tub Toy. Green Toys Are The Best
Green Toys are some of the best toys ever. Great quality, durability. They are made of recycled plastics. They are colorful. The designs are adorable. Kids just love them. I recently purchased this submarine along with the tug boat, and the seaplane for my three kids (3, 6, 8). These three models all float and MAKE FANTASTIC TUB TOYS!!!My kids play with them out in the pool, bring them in for bathtime, and then dry them off and play with them some more. I'm very happy with the purchases and new additions to our fleet of Green Toy vehicles. As a parent, I couldn't ask for any more. There are no little loose pieces to pick up after. They don't need batteries. They never break. But they are still fun. Also, they are dishwasher safe and dry fast. For the price and the size of toy you get, the value is amazing.

Really fun for the tub
My son was gifted this toy, and he loves this little bathtub sub so much that I ordered one for a friend. It's really a nicely made toy, with good attention to detail. For example, the little holes are partially blocked to prevent kids from getting fingers stuck in there, and the top bit opens up on a hinge so that you can (kind of) clean inside, or get out any toys your child manages to stuff into the 'mouth'. If you drive it through the water fast, the propeller spins. It's simple enough for a baby but open-ended and cool enough to become a fun pool toy as kids get bigger, since it can either float on the surface when empty or sink/dive if you push it down so it fills with water. This has gotten the most play out of any of our bath toys, and seems to resist growing mildew and getting slimy and gross. It drains and dies well without trapping bathwater inside. It looks good as new after a good long time of basically daily water play, and I can see it lasting through multiple kids without a hitch. Very well made and sturdy.I think the Green Toys line overall is very good, but this is my favorite out of the series.

Gift idea
This was a gift for our friends 4 year old and he absolutely loved it! We own one as well and he was always playing with it at the lake. The quality was great, it doesn’t float very well but it cleans so easily and is such a great toy. We got it on sale so we were very happy with the price for what we got!

1 Year Old (now almost 2.5/yo) LOVES This Toy BUT It Accumulates Mildew Inside
I bought this toy when my son was a little over 1/yo and he absolutely loved it right away. He played with it outside of the tub as well as inside. It was light weight and easy for him to carry around since it had a handle. He especially liked that he could put things in it like "submarine passengers." The submarine is made in the USA with 100% recycled milk jugs HDPE (high-density polyethylene is a polyethylene thermoplastic made from petroleum, categorized as a #2 plastic.) It is 11" in length, 4.5" in width, and 4" in height. It has a top hatch/handle which is secured to the submarine by a hinge that you push to release which opens up into a hole that is 2.75" x 1.25". The top half of the submarine is attached to the base of the submarine by 10 clip hinges located on the inside. The submarine is constructed in a way that makes it float very sturdily and only sinks if it's intentionally pushed down under water. My son loves this feature especially since a couple of his other floating bath toys take in water too easily and sink to the bottom of the tub. The handle is ergonomically constructed and very comfortable. However, when I am scooping and pouring water continuously the handle part unhinges and comes apart from the submarine. The submarine has a nice wide spout perfect for pouring water - easy to control exactly where I am pouring the water especially when I am washing my sons hair. The submarine was used every night in the bath for 6 months before mildew started to accumulated inside even with our best efforts to dry the entire toy every time it got used. I'm sure it also depends on where you live (we live in very high humidity.) The top of the submarine is incredibly hard to separate from the base. I first tried a credit card to open the 10 clip hinges as to not damage the submarine but soon gave up and used a flat head screw driver to carefully pry it open which resulted in a slight deforming of the plastic. The hole at the top of the sub was way to small for anyone but my sons hands to fit into so it wasn't a viable access point for cleaning the inside of the submarine or un-hinging the clips. Once I got it open I was able to wipe down the entire inside surface. There was a ton of nooks and crannies inside the submarine. The great thing however, was that none of the mildew penetrated/stained the plastic. I definitely recommend this product if you don't mind the maintenance. It's an overall great toy that my son (who is now almost 2.5/yo) STILL loves but the difficulty of cleaning and accumulation of mildew and water inside make it less likely to be left out as a bath toy option for my son.
