It was a fun project for my 4 and 6 year old kids. They put all the components in, I showed them how to solder, then they did a lot of the soldering themselves. They are very proud of the finished project. It's a little challenging for them to play the game, but they enjoy bringing it when we go places.

Fun first kit to learn to solder.

The instructions are really clear and helped this beginner dad bring a project he thought was over his head home. This is our third kit we attempted this weekend, and we were successful. Not all of these kits come with such nice clear instruction, some nice thought went into this and the kids love it.

Right off the bat, two of the LEDs don't work. I am 100% sure we soldered them with the right polarity. They just never worked.After playing it once, the battery holders also stopped working. I can power the game by supplying 3.3v to VIN, but the battery connection just doesn't work anymore.I'm disappointed, I have plenty of experience with soldering and electronics, and I bought this for my 8 year old and I to do together. She has also done plenty of kits and never had this much go wrong.I really feel like we got a lemon, because we can build similar projects from scratch and they work, but this kit was a flop.

This is a top of the line kit, nice board layout and markings, really nice instructions and a great troubleshooting section with actual fixes in case you did not follow the well written instructions. Bought this kit to assemble with my son and really enjoyed the experience. Highly recommended!
