Q: What weight are these?

All 3 are right at 175. I've ordered 4 sets and they all come in about the same. GREAT SET!!!

They are made in Sweden, Latitude 64 makes top quality discs.

Q: New to the sport. Weight wise will these be easy enough to throw for a beginner.?

Some beginner sets are too light, depending on your situation. This one for me was perfect. Most beginner sets are for children and non-athletic women. If you are not in that category I strongly recommend this set. Notice this set does not say BEGINNER but STARTER (i.e. your first set) and it is excellent. Even after you learn to throw stronger and farther, you will be able to use all 3 of these very good discs. I do!!!

Q: Would there be a downside to getting the 'Senior' set for a beginner? I've heard great reviews about this set but is there a drawback?

I don't see a downside. I have been playing for about a year and I have found a use for all 3 discs! The putter and mid range are fine. The driver is a little tricky, but it's not a meat hook. Good luck!
