I gifted one of these to two neighbor boys (3 & 6) who LOVED it! Lego-style blocks snap into the base and light up. Clever and fun to play with!

This is a really cool toy! It has 30 different blocks, 2 of them flash. There is a try me mode, once you are out of that mode, you can play with it lights on the whole time. Thankfully this takes regular AAA batteries. The battery pack also acts as a stand, and you can orient it on any side of the board. The board isn't huge, so you do have limited space for what you can make, and the blocks can not stack on each other. This builder kit seems to be made well, I would definitely say you should store it in a box or zip top bag to keep all of the pieces together. I got this for my 8 years with developmental disabilities... I will have to be careful with the pieces in case he mouths them. He loves to build with Duplo, and we are trying to move him to try Lego size blocks (this kit is definitely a Lego size). I think he will do well with them, though he will miss not being able to stack the blocks on each other. Overall, I think this is a good toy for kids to create and enjoy a lit display!

This set comes with very few pieces - what you see is what you get. So, it feels very much like a starter set. The included blocks have flat/smooth tops, and all light up to a singular solid color, except two blocks which have color changing lights. Each of the blocks is a "two by two" size. Regular Lego bricks can connect to the backboard (with no light up effects, of course) but the Lite Blox cannot connect to anything except the backboard. The backboard has connectors on the sides, so it can connect to other backboards. The battery panel has two small "keyholes" for hanging, but they are tiny. The whole set is very compact and portable. Overall, this kit is unique and interesting, but it has limited playability.

This is a poorly made product and it is difficult for kids to use. It’s a great concept, but the blocks are so hard to remove you need to use the tool every time. The tool itself is also difficult for kids to use, so they have to come to you for help every time. Even when you use the tool included, you have to pry so hard that the toy nearly breaks. It was broken within two days of use.

This toy is well made and it functions as described. I gave it a 3 star rating because I don't see the play or learning value of the toy. You plug in the blocks and they light up. You can basically "pixel paint" with the blocks. There aren't very many blocks so the possibilities are limited. My 4 year old granddaughter played with it for about an hour duplicating the 3 or 4 suggested patterns. She hasn't been interested since.
