If my knots are already sheadding will it help the shedding to stop?

Yes. Make sure to shampoo your hair system and then wipe the inside cap area with regular rubbing alcohol. Now you can spray Knot Sealer. Need to apply about 5-times this time and then about 3 times every time you do cleaning on your hair system.

do you apply this to the lace before or after you bleach the knots?

Top Loc Knot sealer is used at maintenance time. Once you have cleaned the cap and shampooed your hair system. You can now turn cap inside out and spray the inside of the lace cap. ( not to be used on poly cap. ) one layer of spray and now use blowdryer on cool and dry area for about 3 minutes. Now spray 2nd layer and either let it dry on its own for 10 minutes or use hair dryer once again. Now you can style your hair system in usual manner. Do not seal knots before bleaching knots. Remember to always re-seal the knots each time you remove your hair system and clean it. Future knot sealing you only need to seal 1-layer of knot sealer.

Does it work on silk closures shedding?

Yes. You need to thoroughly saturate the silk closure on the side near the scalp. Reapply knot sealer after washing hair unit.

I have a lace system using tape on the perimeter. Is it ok to spray this on base with tape before apply to scalp? Or spray this then put tape on?

Walker Tape Brand "TOP LOC" Knot sealer is applied to a clean hair system as follows: ( 1 ) Shampoo & Condition hair system. Ok if only towel dry or hair dryer & set. ( 2 ) Turn hair system/wig inside out and then spray the Top Loc on all the inside lace cap area. One light spray to start. Now let it dry for about 5 minutes. (ok use blowdryer) once dry, apply 2nd layer of Top Loc onto the lace cap. Let it dry for another 5 minutes. ( 3 ) Now that knot sealer is dry you can proceed with tracking down your tape onto your wig cap. Apply adhesive ( if you use liquid adhesive) to perimeter of your head. Let adhesive dry 5 minutes and now you can track down your hair system to your head. You should repeat this Knot sealing everytime you shampoo your hair system. This actually did its job

I saw bad reviews on this. It doesn’t completely stop shedding, however it did make my wig last over a month. I will buy again.Someone commented about the pump and they heard you because it does cause the liquid come out in a stream and gets stuck, but if you keep using it readjusts. Thank you.

Shedding be gone!

I know the maker of Top-Loc says this product does not work of weave wefts. But, they need to get to know their products a lot better. Like many, the biggest issue i have with weave is the shedding. It drives me nuts, and the hair doesn't last as long. Usually I can only get four installs from my wefts, and I buy really good hair from Mayvenn. However, since I have been using Top-Loc Knot Sealer, the shedding is all but history. I am now on my 8th install with the same wefts, and they look great. If I were you I would definitely get this product and use it on your wefts before install. Instead of spraying it on, I use an eye shadow brush, and paint it on both sides of the weft. Heres what I do, and mind you I do this for each install, even if I have already done it to the same wefts in the past. I first gently wash and condition the wefts. Once they are fully dry, I do 3 coats of the Top-Loc. I do this a couple days before my reinstall. I have 2 sets of hair, so I don't have to worry about going a couple days without my hair in.

Sprayer does not work.

I have used this product in the past and it has always done well. Not sure what happened to this bottle. Shook it up for a couple of minutes. Cleaned the sprayer and still not coming out correctly. Hate wasting it trying to get this sprayer to work.Very disappointed.

The sprayer fails every time so product drips down sides

Product is ok however when you go to spray it leaks down the side of the bottle so a lot of product gets wasted. This has happened on more than one occasion with this brand. People have suggested transferring it to another bottle that works but really, shouldn't the bottle/sprayer it came in work????
