Good but pricey
It’s good but expensive and the description/ images could be clearer as it isn’t clear what you’ll get in terms of the strap

Comfortable and works well but a bit awkward hooking it on to the d loop otherwise good quality

I am surprised just how good this release is. I was pretty nervous purchasing it without having ever tried a Wiseguy and skeptical about all the hype -- I didn't really believe a release would have any significant impact on my precision (grouping) and especially my accuracy. Especially since the Wiseguy does not have any of the fancy hinges and pivots to keep any twist or sideways pull out of the string, and I was not willing to make the step to a back-tension or a hinge release for hunting. Well, I was so wrong. I've been using a $40 Blackout dual jaw release for 3 years (my first release) and although I have become a decent archer and practice religiously, I have struggled with consistency, thinking that the only issue was me. No amount of breathing technique, back-tension releasing, or follow-through completely fixed my woes. I got the Wiseguy today, pulled it out of the package as is (the length and trigger sensitivity was already set perfect for me), and was repeatedly hitting exactly 2" left of target at 30 yards. A quick adjustment to my bow sight, and I was hammering dead center, shot, after shot, after shot. I still can't believe it. I can't believe that a quality wrist release has made this much of a difference and that it took me 3 years to try it. Not to mention, this thing is built so solid and is very comfortable. No loose parts, no rattling or squeaking, super crisp and satisfying.

Been using a cheap $25 4-finger thumb release from Amazon for the last year or so and have had great service from it despite its meager cost... but wanted something a bit better for comparison and hopefully up my game a smidge. After doing the research the Whipper Snapper was my final decision but then I had to hash out trying the 3-finger vs the 4-finger model. Went with the 3-finger and do not regret it. It just feels more natural compared to the 4-finger release I was using and it takes up less space in my chest pack. The shape of the release is smooth and more rounded than some of the more jagged models out there, feels more ergonomic in general. It does produce a noticeable click when setting which you probably would not want for hunting as others have mentioned. For my purposes of target shooting it is no issue and sort of helps to hear the click to make sure it is closed on the d loop properly. I can certainly see getting an open jaw release in the future as well. I feel like there has been some improvement in my groupings since using this, it is definitely crisper but am also fine tuning my technique at the same time so need more practice to distinguish any appreciable difference. Very pleased with this upgrade to my kit. I have more confidence with this release design when drawing as opposed to the caliper jaws on my other one, though no issues thus far with that one yet. If this is your first thumb release or an upgrade you are getting a quality product that will get you to the next level without investing more than you need to.

My release showed up a day early. Out of the box it's sturdy and ready to shoot. The strap is very nice and comfortable. From the factory it does have a extremely light trigger, But is easily adjustable to stiffen up. I look forward to shooting more with this!
